Gutsy win by the Filth.  Elliot was superb.  Sidebottom, Pendles and Noble also solid.

I really don't get the eating their own on Buckley.   Took them to within a kick of a Premiership.  They were always going to come off the boil list wise after being thereabouts for so long.

This.

When someone is outside 50 metres and takes 30 second to take a shot with no chance of kicking it with a minute to go it a mockery. Totally kills the game.

I really hate the filth  but I agree with jaded in that there is some solutions to them winning this one before we play them. I would be looking for a comfortable win at the MCG but at that krappy little shizenhausen the SCG I am not so sure.

Good for Collingwood to win their grand final tonight. They look very pleased with themselves. Can’t wait to belt them next week

They will be favorites now against us. they did beat the only team to beat us so logic should prevail....

Again I say watching that insipid performance by the crows it's so embarrassing we lost to them. My god that keys player smashed us and in the final quarter he couldn't use it properly.

That last passage where they had to go forward they were handballing backwards. Not running through the centre. Also walker had a mare kicking 2-6. Where was that inaccuracy weeks ago?

This. We could so easily be undefeated right now

A lot of really nice indigenous jumpers this season but geez, you can’t go past ours for the pick of the crop.

It was a flash in the pan. They happened to play out of their skin the same day we were off. And they still only managed to beat us by one point with help from the umpires. We've since beaten the teams in second and third so no point dwelling on it. We have plenty to look forward to whereas the Crows have played their grand final already.

I would rather lose to a nothing team that won’t get anywhere near the 8, than lose to a top side in direct competition with us for a top 4 spot.
Losing to Adelaide is a blimp on the radar and nobody will remember it in September, nor would it matter.
Losing later in the season to Port or West Coast or Geelong would be far more costly.

Bear in mind we weren't in the richest vein of form at the time, just hanging on in games. I choose to think the loss was the catalyst to kicking us back into gear for the 2 massive games that followed. Plus the 'undefeated' tag becomes a monkey on the back - while I hated losing the Adelaide game, as least we got a loss out of the way.

That Andrew Phillips goal... did Mclachlan say “it’s a goal. His first. He’s equalled his career high.” ???? Maybe I imagined he said that. I hope I imagined he said that.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
