I actually don't think it will be heavily booked.

Crowds are really down at Marvel this year.

Tickets at Marvel are on Ticketek. AFL members go on sale on Tuesday. Not sure about the general public.

Tickets at Docklands are actually on TICKETMASTER. MCG is Ticketek.

You'll be able to get a ticket just depends where you want to sit and how much you want to pay. I'd say GA tickets go on sale Wednesday after Members? Or is it Thursday?

Hi DL'ers hoping to get some help here on best way to get tickets for this Friday's game.

I am a GA Member Home and Away, but have about 8 non-member friends and we want to sit together. What's the best approach?

Do I just buy all the tickets in my one transaction? I've found ticketek very confusing this year so a bit lost.

Is it right that we will have to wait until Wednesday to access tickets?

For a start it's Ticketmaster and not Ticketek. Tickets for away members go on sale at 10am Wed and GA sales at 1pm Wednesday. I don't think you'll be able to get all 10 tickets in one transaction unless you want to wait until 1pm and pay for the two you would get for free if you booked those tickets earlier in the day (10am). I doubt that you can 'mix and match' ie supply two barcodes for the freebies and then pay for 8.

It is highly likely, however, that Dees members and GA will be confined to level 4 (top deck). I was there for the Saints game (row X - 2nd from back) and the six of us were all able to move to the front row as there were heaps of empty seats. I doubt there'll be anywhere near capacity.
MCC members are not getting reciprocal rights at the Docklands this year for starters, meaning they have to pay a motza for reasonable seats. I reckon many won't bother.

You're dead right.

I knew it was Ticketmaster, but for some reason typed Ticketek.

Wish I could edit my post.

Please BBP Nomore free advice please on crowds or ticketing

Might not be a crowd if they can't find the source of the two new cases

Yes.... I hate the joint like everyone else.

This match is too tantalising not to go but, I don't want to be sitting next Dog supporters who continually bag and hate our players. It fires me right up and I get into trouble.

So... The question is. Where do the Melbourbe supporters congregate in the stands?

I know the cheer squad but much prefer a view a little higher in the stands.

I would love some help in this regard when choosing my seats.

Regards,

Just do what I do, sit right slap bang in the middle of a nest of opposition teams supported and barrack hard. It’s brilliant when wining, can be a little awkward when loosing, and fun either way, like the good old days (I’m not as old as some on here, so talking 90s here) in bay 13. ?

Tough gig.
I do that but find I'm just as likely to exchange barbs with one of our own "supporters" who continually bag and hate our players.
Usually those who do it at the top of their lungs.

Same here. I also seem to end up surrounded by the most obnoxious opposition supporters.

Good news for all the Melbourne fans who hate Marvel stadium - $225M worth of new function rooms and a market area (whatever that is) will solve all our concerns. Luckily nothing will change re stadium access or viewing from the cheap seats, because we know those things are perfect already.

I absolutely hope this outbreak can be contained and does not spread and as disappointing as it is not to be able to go, if it means we can keep a lid on Covid then i'll accept it. That being the case, and thinking from a very selfish fan perspective, does the lack of a crowd benefit us? We didn't do too well in front of the Crows fans last weekend so i reckon there's some advantage.

If capacity is heavily reduced it’ll just be a Bulldog centric crowd which will not help us at all. I prefer no crowds than less crowds. I think no crowds make sense and as much as I want to go, I think it might help us.
Thankfully it’s not our home game.

Makes no sense.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
