Aaron VDB Injured again at training, I think he might be nearly done. His body lets him down too often!

Bowey, Jetta, Daw, Deakyn Smith, Bedford all look very good! BB Must play next week with Weeds also a strong chance. I thought Majak rucked extremely well, Bowey astute ball winner and user!

Picket, so Bowey stepped up from a reasonable performance the week before? Can you see him forward of the Centre in the ones, off a flank?

Where does Bowey fit in our current side? Considering our backline is tough to crack at the moment

Firstly, absolute full credit to the Richmond staff for not only providing a good quality live stream, but even providing full stats and regular "player spotlight" updates for Casey players. Absolutely [censored] on our Casey coverage from a great height. We couldn't even send one [censored] dude out there to tell us how the MFC players were going earlier in the year. Lots to learn from the best in the business.

Now, to the game.

Ben Brown is exactly as I remembered him at North. Annoying. Umpires' pet. Accurate. [censored] good. It's very nice to know that he's ours now.

Bowey has been very busy.

Bedford will get games this year, he has fantastic work rate and pressure. Skills aren't the best but there's a clear role for him.

Bratdke is still a million miles off. I wonder how long we'll persist?

Bradke is 20 years old , give him time

I didn't mind it actually.  You could even hear them bucketing the water out from somewhere at one point.  Beats listening to BT prattle on all night

Might to be a bit too good to wait that long I think

Stupid statement in my opinion.

I’d have thought he’d probably get a game by years end

Most teams given the sub rule now run a quasi-emergency who will play limited minutes in the VFL if that game is before the AFL game.

Contingency in case someone twangs a hammy in the warm up there is a player who isn’t completly cooked able to come in.

I would prefer to sit beside a screaming baby on a long haul flight than listen to BT.

There isn't room for both PF.  BB should get the call up.  Thought Weid was right out of it other than the last quarter and a few cameos in the third.

Daw was good but for every good thing he does he seems to blunder something else shortly after.

Sorry haven’t had time to read the whole thread. For those that we’re watching, how was Brown’s and the Weid’s overall games. I’ve read their goal tally’s, how was their markng, how easy did their goals come, defensive efforts....

I might have to go back and read the thread.

Why would you play a 1st year small mid on Martin?

Daw with 32 tackles! Outstanding.

Surely not...

That was hit outs

Yes I know that had the columns mixed up.
Particularly when I saw that Bedford had 6 hit outs. ?

What a weird comment. His size won't hold him back and it's likely he'll get an opportunity this year. Kid has pace, composure and skill. Will slot nicely anywhere on the ground other than key position or inside mid.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
