My hopes are Ben Brown gets done as early as possible and we get a sneaky Tom Phillips from the maggies on the cheap in the closing minutes.

Ben Brown done

a 1st round pick done or the draft picks in hand obviously outlining our intentions to secure one

official word of APhillips trade or commitment as a DFA

one of TPhillips, Narkle, CCox in a trade

only then will i be satisfied ?

ben brown should happen; would be nice to get him on the 'cheap'

andrew phillips for a token late pick

and then wait to do the pick upgrade swap til just before / on draft night

Tmac, Omac, Avb, ANB all traded out

If we lost them all out, what players will there be left to bag @olisik?

Viney, Jones, Smith, Spargo, Fritta, Harmes, and Lever probably all next in the firing line I would imagine. Fans will never fail to find someone else to bag.

Joel Smith, though hopefully he also is traded

Ben Brown trade done early.

Andrew Phillips trade done for one of our picks in the 60's.

Bundle some of our picks to the Bulldogs for an upgrade to a 1st Round Pick.

Word that we're committed to taking Marley Williams as a DFA.

Would be happy to hear of a trade for Tom McDonald or ANB out, but will live if it doesn't happen.

Brown for whatever, I'm not too fussed about haggling over a few draft spots in a draft that becomes guesswork within the first round.

Seems like the major concern is how efficiently we can move players out, rather than in.  I would of course still be sad to see Tom McDonald go but his salary leaves with him and unfortunately that matters.

Picks in the 50s or even 60s for the 'respectfully moved on with best wishes' players is fine.

This Marley Williams whisper keeps appearing. Where’s it coming from ?

Unsure about Tmcd.  Happy to see Tmcd stay or go. If he goes, 1- try to use the pick to get Narkle. 2- need Andrew Phillips from Bombers (save ourselves $450k a year) for a future 4th round. But I’m tipping Tmcd stays.

Really want

1- Ben Brown - MFC pick 31 and pick 68 to Kangas

2- Dogs pick 14 - swap for MFC pick 26,33. Gets Dogs 1290 points

### End up with 3 picks 14, 43 , 50. ###

not too fussed about getting into the first round this year. such a compromised draft and no combine etc means it will be hard to know who the quality picks are outside of the top 10.  keep some second rounders and hope for a gem

Get brown and a back up ruck.

then win the flag.

In all honesty I haven't seen it anywhere outside of this site. I mentioned him after he was delisted and have seen one or two other posters mention his name in whispers.

But he does make sense IMO. Seasoned 27 year old small defender/HB with a bit of pace and good kicking skills. Kind of what we need.

A shock move out of the blue that hasn't been rumoured about or known well in advance....  like how it happens in every other sport in the world.

I know thats high hopes for the world of AFL where the players/AFLPA control everything but you never know.

Getting more picks in 2021 draft, apparently shaping up to be one of the best in while, almost super.

It’s all whispers and hearsay.  The 2021 draftees are mostly unknown outside of some under 16 championship games and the WA and SA colts league this year.  I think the. Super draft of 2021 is certainly not yet a known factor.

Don't think, do!

Pretty underwhelming to date. I'm a big believer that we lack depth. We need to get rid of the NQR's and those that are cooked and replace them with either ready made players or those with potential to make the grade.

I'm sorry but if guys like Oskar Baker , Joel Smith, et al play more than five games next year we are stuffed!

Pick 31 for Ben Brown

Pick 26, 33, 50 for Bulldogs pick 14 and future 4th

Parma, chips and pint at the pub. Should be a good day.

Hoping my biltong will be dried enough in the morning.
This unusually cool November weather in Perf sucks.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
