Agreed 100%. Even if not raining, the dewey nights are not conducive to a great spectacle.

Torrential rain last 30ย minutes over the Gabba with more to come.

Itโ€™s been pissing down up here off and on which I think will suite the tigers more.ย

Yet another season seeing ANOTHER team win it. Iโ€™m sick of not being in finals and not winning it.ย

Hope the lights fail 5 mins into the 1st quarter.ย  Can't get em back on. That would suit the season to a tee.

We must fight to keep the Day Grand Final next year. This day has no atmosphere at all. No build up

If it rains all day and night in Brisvegas the TV Ratings wonโ€™t stack up

Iโ€™m not one for tradition for traditions sake but I think the gf should remain a daylight game. Every year I fire up the BBQ and have friends and family over to watch the game. With the public holiday added now its makes for a great family orientated weekend. I think a night time slot would change the whole dynamic for the worse.

apparently if the lightning / lights going out forces the game to be called off in the first half then they'll have a replay; if it happens after half time the winner will be declared as whoever is in front

So itโ€™s GF Day,ย guess Iโ€™m gonna crack my first can around 11am like usual. Then just 8 hours til the bounce.ย

if someone could let me know who wins that would be great

How you tracking at 2 hours before the bounce @DubDee, all facilities? Or comatose?

I used to really enjoy Finals regardless of who was playing but my interest in this Grand Final isย minimal. I'm more interestedย in the Rugby League Grand Final. Seriously neverย in my life would i have ever thought that.

The Game will still rate in the afternoonย

This concerns me deeply.

Will the Victorian turf cope with these sub tropical conditions?

Will sheperds immaculately dyed hair run in the rain during half time entertainment.

What will happen to Stockdales fro? Will he be able to play the guitar with his teef if his hair has fallen down.?

I wish the Dees were playing and blowhard were the half time entertainment RIP Rollo.

I may be jumping the gun, but why canโ€™t we have pre game entertainment this good every year?

It sure is exciting so far.....

Wellย yeah, but you canโ€™t have quality acts like Meatloaf and Angry Anderson every year.

Adelaide would have done a better job with the GF prematch.

Do they think they could do worse. I know I am old but these singers are worse than meat loaf.

Cold Chisel, Superjesus, Ben Folds, Hilltop Hoods to name a few.

Spent most of my life in Brisbane and would have seen thousands of bands over 30 years or so.

These artists aren't my cup of tea but they're hooking through them well and haven't at least put on a bunch of old hacks.

Its alright I reckon.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
