Few insiders blv dees not pursuing Williams leads them to blv Saad is a lock...

Either way, Dees need to prioritise a fwd & if Tom McDonald is being pursued by Roos then Brown surely seems logical, however for whatever reason this seems unlikely despite it marching up on first look. Could this be related to chasing another big fwd? I think so but it’s a view not something I’ve got any word on. But I think we’ve been far “too quiet” which makes me think either Cameron or Gunston are heavily on the radar, Hooker maybe even as a plan C.

I predict: Saad, I Smith, Cameron & Atkins are our likely ins. 3/4 with Cameron the Outsider & one of Brown, Hooker, Gunston, Wright or Curnow to replace him should it be a pipe dream.

It's all well and good saying we need to prioritise a forward but there's no-one of any quality that's available.

And the reason we need Saad is because we are the slowest [censored] team in the AFL! he is a must get. have people forgotten how bloody slow we are? how slow jetta is? We need Saad and then we need to focus the next 2 drafts on getting speed in. that's how slow we are.

'i was watching a replay of your last game and one of the commentators said they love the ball in (insert Saad's or Salem's names here) hands. It made me laugh because you then turned it straight over and also they always say that about me too! Do they actually watch any of our games?'

I thought I read Saad's main driving factor for moving on from Essendon is pursuit of success? Hasn't played a single final yet.

Unless he wants to personally experience what it feels like to finish 9th next year after blowing a game to the Gold Coast Suns in Round 23, then I don't think we should be his club of choice.

One minute Ralph is saying we aren't keen, the next we have birdie's chirping that Saad is off to us if he leaves.

Welcome to trade period 2020 everyone!

You must be new to the Trade Period.

Next you’ll say it’s ludicrous to bundle up 7 players for Jeremy Cameron.

What a noob.

I find this time of year very entertaining, honestly most of the time these commentators have no better idea than us here on d land. They have to justify their existence so all sort of stories are floated and they never have to in the end justify their comments. I actually think they get most of their info from sites like this. Very funny

Can't remember if this bloke talks rubbish or not...

A few weeks ago he was reporting that the Army were about to invade Victoria to perform a coup.

Also seems unlikely that Rutten has a strong bond with Saad when he's only coached him for 17 games as a senior assistant.

other than the ryder to the pear deal, what dodoro-directed deals have been hard?

we've never had any issues dealing with the peptides

Pretty much every deal the guy is involved in is hard work

From memory -

Carlisle to St Kilda went to mediation

Stringer to Essendon went down to the last day

Shiel to Essendon nearly fell over

Joe D didn’t get done

Essendon supporters love him. List manager of a club that hasn’t won a final since Adam was a boy. Hardly a great resume. Long may he continue in that role.

it's very common for deals to not happen til the last day; afl loves to build the draaaaaaama for the big trades like stringer and shiel

the only one i remember going to mediation was ryder to port

did the carlisle deal? i don't recall but i thought it happened on the second last or so day of the 2015 trade period cos his snort video was covered massively while the trade period was ongoing, and everyone was saying there's no way aints would've gone thru with it if it'd come out the day before their trade, not the day after...convenient, eh

he's a terrible recruiter, it's fantastic - long may the peptides remain mediocre

I wonder if we've remained in Ben King's ear... as to how we'd get a trade done, no idea!

At least dress it up a bit, ET. Sparrow's name would be perfect for an elaborate riddle.

Daniher to Syd springs to mind.

Would be disappointed if sparrow left.

2024 Player Reviews: #35 Harry Petty

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. It remains to be seen whether Simon Goodwin will persevere with him in attack or return him to the backline where he was an important cog in the club’s 2021 premiership success. 2024 Player Reviews: #22 Blake Howes

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. One to watch in 2024. Date of Birth: 7 March 2003 Height: 191cm Games MFC 2024: 15 Career Total:  15 Goals MFC 2024: 0 Career Total:  0 Games CDFC 2024: 6 Goals CDFC 2024: 0

2024 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

2024 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress. SLIP SLIDING AWAY by Meggs

It was a sweaty, slippery night at Cazalys Stadium, a tough slog with low scoring and missed opportunities.  The Hokball Hawks hung on to win by a goal and sit second on the ladder, relegating the disappointed Demons to, almost certainly, finals spectators.   We had to win this match. When news broke of late withdrawals of talisman Kate Hore and key back Gaby Colvin, expectations plummeted, and Demon fans despaired.  The bad news was the signature song of 2024, a season that’s
