The Cat's cut him pretty quickly.  I would be worried as to why.  They don't suffer fools gladly down there.  Would need to do some serious homework / background checks first imv.

You may be right, but given they're linked to half the competition's free agents it may just be they've run out of list spots

They seem to have a preference for Parfitt over Knarkle to this point.  Parfitt recruited similar time.  66 games vs 10 for Knarkle so far.  Parfitt probably a slightly more inside bias vs Knarkle.

Could be just injury issues.  ACL in June 2017.  Hammy last year Rnd 8 or so in the VFL.  Hammy in July this year early in the 1st quarter against Brissy.

At this point he may have a future but is injury prone and, aside from prospective longevity in the game, probably not dissimilar to Harley in terms of what he offers us on the outside.  Harley obviously injury prone as well.

Given our frailty on the field performance wise can we afford a potentially brittle rookie who is prone to breaking down this early in his career?

Caveat emptor for all recruits is needed but i'd be putting a big red flag on this one prior to pressing the go button.

Home state clubs interested. Less keen if we lose Jettas influence

Still got Matt Whelan and Steven May as positive influence for young indigenous boys

Great, so important to develop a structure for the indigenous lads. They are a gift to any Club who provides the infastructure.

He's been in the system for a few years now 58 and it's a top of the table one as well with the Cats.  Yes he's competing for limited spots i realise but the fact they wish to let him loose has to be a concern re his fairly regular break downs.

Well they got rid of Josh Caddy so that's another one they got rid of.  Mitch Clark...….. is he still there ??

Narkle has a bit of class about him but he isn't a great pressure player as a forward and not all that dangerous, he really has to rotate in to the midfield to be the best player he can be. Would we be willing to play him as a mid/forward rotation guy?

He's not slow but no one would call him quick if it wasn't for his skin colour which is one of my pet peeves.

Is he contracted?

OOC 22yo

Caddy is a great shout too, anything to push the current mob down and out

While I don't think he's necessarily a walk up start to solve our other wing position, he'd certainly improve the depth there and create competition for spots.

Maybe we could get involved in the Cameron trade?

GWS send Cameron and Pick 43 to Cats.

Geelong send picks 13 & 15 to GWS with Narkle and a future 3rd rounder to Melbourne.

We send Preuss to GWS.

surely we gotta call Narkle’s manager right now

cats want Smith and Higgins and Cameron

we have $$ and a HFF space available

Any answer ?  Surely we are calling the Cats or his management.

Narkle is a mid who rests forward, but hasn't been able to get on the park enough to play decent minutes in his preferred position yet. He's actually quite good in the guts, moves well through traffic and gets his hands free when tackled etc. He'd be a good addition to our midfield rotation as he's got good kicking skills and good agility, so adds a point of difference. Think a poor mans Shai Bolton. I'd take him on the cheap for sure to balance our midfield out more.

Nah no need.  Mahoney already thinks we have the greatest list in AFL history.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The Demons return to Casey Fields (aka the Field of Dreams) this Saturday to host the Saints in Round 2. If you’re feeling lucky, head down the Monash for some family-friendly footy—you might even walk away a winner. The first 5,000 adults through the gate will receive an entry into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop. With Casey’s infamous wind, what could possibly go wrong? Closest ball to the pin wins. So spread the word, get down there—and good luck!

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.
