I will take a Carlton win any day. If we can not protect our place in the eight from here we just not deserve to be in it. Also helps to jump to 6th or 7th.

Does a Collingwood win help or hurt us, i know we should take our destiny into our own hands but in terms of the ladder, is this good for us?

Hurts us, basically guarantees pies a spot in the 8 if they win 1 more. One less spot up for grabs by those fighting to get in

Just to add Expect in 2 weeks, dees gws and saints will all be on 9 wins with only % separating us. With one sitting 9th

Carlton are so soft. 4 points in a second half against their fierce rivals. Now they're out of finals contention the AFL can move them out of the RACV Noosa Resort and into the local caravan park to finish the season.

Hopefully Carlton can knock over GWS next week but I doubt it.

Wow blues goalless in the second half against their bitter rivals. They’re done, now watch the Carltank come out.

If it's not West Coast in Perth it is Richmond or Geelong or less likely Port or Brisbane at their home grounds.

Finishing 8th would be a nightmare whichever way you look at it.

..... but better than finishing 9th, which gives zero chance of advancing at all ?

Must say I like the jaguar symbol on the back of our jumper. Most of the car logos are rather nondescript.

Took me years to work out who SEW were on the back of the hawks jumper.

Yeah, the truth doesn't sound so sensationalist...

"Goal umpire makes correct decision at the goal line after getting into perfect position and having unobstructed view from around 6ft..."

IMO - it helps in that in now knocks Blues out of finals race, and Collingwood are still catchable by Dees . They were less than impressive today and they have a tough draw, one less game and I would rather meet them if we make finals than Blues.

One less contender. I think the Saints could also well be worried with their run home.

Dees have to win nevertheless

Dees will be well into the 8 in your scenario, as if all teams win the next two matches then % rankings should probably staty the same with GWS in 9th spot. A 10% gap can't be made up in low scoring and shorter games .  Apart from us, no 60 point blowouts to worry about.

Saints may well win but only a 2% gap between them and Dees which could be made up and put the saints lowre than us.

In additon, as a possible early Christmas bonus,  if the Lions beat the Pies next week, as I suspect, then Pies next have a bye and could drop out of thge 8 altogether by end of next two rounds.

Beats a game and a half break on us.

Yes but Blues would have been on our tail as well.

Best result was a Blues win. This outcome 2nd best.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
