You can't request a trade if no clubs are interested in recruiting you

I’ve heard Daniher might be heading to GWS

could be a number 1 ruck there he looked good in that role, obvioulsy something very difference for him

you just know if we ever come up against either of them thats when they play their only good game and just do nothing wrong all day

I’m not sure he would go as a ruck.  I don’t think his body would hold up.
I’d have him at the Dees in a heartbeat

Laughable by Oscar.

More chance he'll have to fill out a delisted free agency form then get a trade..

Happy to get rid of both.

Omac would be lucki to be recruited by an aus kick side.

TBF, he's out of contract and may have just said he'd like to try for more opportunity elsewhere.

which would be quite understandable

given the quality of key position defenders in the league i can definitely see him getting an opportunity elsewhere

Trade table - Pruess, OMac, TMac, ANB, Smith

Delist/Retire - Jones, Jetta, KK, Bradkte, Dunkleyor Brown, Wagner x 2

Targets - Moore, mature Sml Fwd (Bruest?)

Role Changes - Harmes back to mid/tagging role; Viney to be split between fwd pockett and mid; if no trade for TMAC send to CHB and Tomlinson to wing

List changes - Promote Lockhart and Bennell; Demote Neitschke to Rookie

Why would you trade our back-up ruck and also de-list our development ruck?

And if you're going to de-list a Category B development ruck after a couple of seasons then why ever bother putting one on the list in the first place?

Pruess:

Would be interesting to see the trade value of Preuss. With Jackson coming in he seems like he will be the second ruckman from now on. He is valuable as a second ruckman on the list but would probably be valuable for a team like GWS who is desperate need of a first ruckman.

Where did you hear about this one @Lord Nev?

And no doubt we'll be picking up a portion of TMacs salary. Who is in charge of contracts, Mahoney I assume? For all his ability to get things done at the trade table I think his willingness to hand out exorbitant contracts that hamstring our list management is a massive cross against him. Not to mention his management of our assistant coaches/footy department.

It makes sense for them to seek a trade considering they are obviously considered no more than depth for us moving forward. I mean if OMac is behind Smith and TMac is behind Brown they'll see nothing but games at windswept Casey in their futures if they stay with us. Only problem is not sure who would be interested in them.

I’m sure this decision of the McDonald’s didn’t come today, hence why we’ve seen little of them. Good result for both parties

Would hope we can move to a more agile taller forward line. Gunston would be number one target for me and Mihocek close second. One of those two and a silky small would make us a very different team next year

Would be great to see the back of Melksham

If Max were to go down next year (touch wood), would we really want to give the job to Jacko? That's a fair load for a 2nd year player. Isn't this the main reason why we got Preuss from Norf, as ruck insurance?

Having said that, if GWS did offer up something that improved the needs of our list it would certainly be tempting.

I'm in the camp that thinks Preuss can still improve and hold down an AFL first ruck role

Unless he wants out, I would keep him

i think that's the thing tho - he should be a starting ruck somewhere

he'll likely never be that at the dees

he said when he joined us that it was as much about 'learning' from the best as much as anything

he'll definitely have value you'd think

Straight swap for Cockatoo. if we can get him fit he'd be a good player for us, Cats need a ruckman like Press desperately.

I would let Jacko take the ruck and bring in Brown as the 3rd tall with Weid and Petty.

Petty was training with the forwards before he done his groin so I expect him to be a forward.

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
