Dropping Oscar doesn’t make sense to me, thought with him the team it allowed May and Lever to play their roles a lot better

Makes sense to me for all of the obvious reasons but the selection committee each week seems to be chanelling Garry Lyon from on the Coach.

If we win this game I will be surprised. Such poor selections make me wonder if we are tanking so North get a better pick. I can't see how we are going to kick enough goals to win. We might fall over the line because we are playing the crows but I would not be surprised if they get a run on and win. Poor outs and poor ins.

No wonder you have Mental Demons.

I'm a little surprised that Oscar lost his place as the back six have worked well together overall. I think Jonesy trained with the forwards all summer and if they really have earmarked him for a half back flank role this week I'd have preferred it to be Rivers instead. Still so many inside mids in the 22.

Adelaide has made eight changes for Wednesday night’s clash with Melbourne, headlined by the return of stand-in captain Tom Doedee.

Doedee has reclaimed his position in the Crows’ back six after successfully completing Tuesday’s main training session and will lead a young Crows side out onto Adelaide Oval to tackle the Demons.

Five of the inclusions for Round 10 are aged 20 years or younger, with two more AFL debutants set to be unveiled in Harry Schoenberg and Lachlan Sholl.

Schoenberg, 19, is a ball-winning midfielder who was taken with pick No.24 in last year’s AFL Draft.

The inclusion of Schoenberg and Sholl brings the number of AFL debutants blooded by the Crows in Season 2020 to eight.

Teenage swingman Fischer McAsey and tenacious forward Ned McHenry return to the senior side after brief rests on the sidelines, while Darcy Fogarty has been named to make a long-awaited return from a persistent shoulder injury.

Fogarty will be joined up forward by the experienced Taylor Walker, who was a late withdrawal from Saturday’s loss to North Melbourne with gastro.

Veteran David Mackay rounds out the inclusions.

Kyle HartiganShane McAdamAndrew McPherson and Tyson Stengle will be managed on the back of a four-day break.

Riley KnightBryce Gibbs, Rory Atkins and Kieran Strachan have all been omitted.

Midfielder Brodie Smith has been named on a wing and is set to face a game day fitness test for a knee contusion suffered against North Melbourne.

Smith was restricted to light duties during Tuesday’s training session with his right knee heavily strapped.

Lever was unquestionably in our best last week, but feel free to maintain your bias.

Frost and wrecking go well together, though.

The bar was very low last week, he had 8 kicks 5 clangers and gets pushed off the ball way to easy, no second efforts and always blame others when he gets beaten

Let’s not window dress it. On the face of it dropping Oscar is a plainly dumb decision

If we manage to lose this. Wowee. Good luck Simon.

I'd still like to know who is our second marking target in the forward line.?

Here we go again. Let's put a non back (think fritch, Smith) down back just to upset the balance and wreck the players confidence for the rest of the year.

Thinking this through more I am starting to turn to the side more that the coach does not know what he is doing. We started the season with 1 tall forward, then 2 and it was working but then went to 3. We started the season with Omac as third tall, then Smith, then Omac then it was working but one week under mass pressure so we are Now using only 2 tall backs.

Everyone can clearly see we have a predominantly one paced inside midfield with limited defensive run yet we continue to play the same players in and out position and hope for a better result. We dont  try and resolve the problem with any positional changes or difference from outside the core group. There is no stability when we have found the potential mix in a component and there is no change at all in the one area that seems to continue have the biggest opportunity for improvement.

Thought Jones offered little to no leadership. A bit of a worry if Goody is too scared to drop him.

And the reason Jones didn't get picked for a few games when fit?

Shakes head and sighs

Yep, you gotta wonder. I'm almost past the point of caring now.

Bemused as to how these selections will work.

Oscar is a spud and deserves to be dropped. I don't know why they won't play his brother at CHB.

Hannan is another one who deserves to be dropped done nothing.

Tomlinson will play wing that is what he was recruited for not back. He has a lot to prove.

Neal-Bullen is another one with a lot to prove on the outer needs to stamp his authority.

Glad to see Vanders and Bennell they are well and truly needed.

Gawn should of been rested we can't afford him to go down with a more serious injury.

No need to worry about that with the quality of our delivery into the forward 50.

It’s strange given CROWS PLAY THREE TALL FORWARDS - Walker, HImnelberg and Mcasey. Fogarty also to play key forward.

Perhaps Tomlinson to play CHB.  Strange to drop Omcd for this one !!!?!?!?!?

Who's our first? ?

Well that's the problem, hopefully Weid has one of his better games, but Jackson does not take contested marks

agree. Jackson has zero contested marks in 3 weeks. Mitch Brown probably should retire !!  He deserved a roll of the dice this game.

I think that's more of a reason to worry

Surprised by the support for Oscar. He was bad against Brisbane and then diabolical against Port. Tomlinson will slot in there which means we don’t lose much from a structure point of view.
