I expect the Saints to get up tonight in a close contest. There's a few potentially good games this round!

Saints are looking very bloody good.

These Kings twins are going to be scary in a few years. Just so natural.

Ratton has got the saints playing a great brand a footy, Roughead has the saints forward line sorted (what could have been).

i always liked Kent as a footballer, he’s started this season strongly.

carltank playing this entire half like they did the first quarter and a half against us

kent has always had the ability and skills, but his shoulders and his hamstrings worked against him

shorter terms and shorter games help him

The ‘aints have certainly got a few things right of late;

- got rid of a sub-standard coach (we’ll take him thanks - yoink!)

- decided to pay the 40c to give Butler a call (we pocketed the 40c)

- traded for outside class (well, we got outside players in but arguably not class)

- drafted a young tall who can catch the football (we traded our pick for an old bloke who looks like he eats footballs)

- got a talented (albeit flawed) footy department boss.

It is a sad day when you’re jealous of StK.

That Dean Kent guy looks good.

Max King will be a beauty.

Hannerbery looks likes he's done a hamstring??

Cameron Ling is the Dipper of our generation. Gun player, moved to tv as a star... ends up being a boundary rider.

Yep, thought the same last week when they beat the Tiges.

Transformed their game over summer.

Good brand of footy.

They're a much better team than us now.

Turnovers will destroy you. SPS with a shocker of a kick. No wonder people break TV remotes

I am finding tonites game a bit hohum.

How Brett Ratten hasn’t had a senior coaching gig since Carlton is mind boggling especially considering we had Neeld.

Ratten could have been a bargain years ago...

But we don’t hire experienced Coaches, unless we are on life support

To be fair, we couldn't get Kent on the park. At some stage you cut those blokes off and move on. I'm sure we will do the same with KK at the end of this year.

Reality is, most clubs will turnover 6-8 players each year. He was a logical choice. And good luck to him now that he seems to be getting a clear run at it.

Kent’s been excellent tonight.

Our list management is a joke.

I think our list management is alright.

We have the talent, but we're very good at ruining it. Chaos ball doesn't really bring out the best in most people.

Kent is much better at St Kilda, Howe much better at Collingwood because they have better structure and game plans.

We got rid of Kent in the same offseason we signed vandenBerg to a 3 year contract.

At best it's inconsistent.

Marvellous isn’t it

Maybe we should hire a Coach that understands Structure and game plans

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
