Match winning lead

Why do I even following this pathetic side for so long.

[censored] you you bunch of morons. Who didn’t know that was gonna happen?
Goodwin watching on.
Floodgates about to open.

Geelong got their tails up now. We'll go into our shells

Have we managed to stick a tackle today?   Blokes just walking through us.

Embarrassing.

Someone, not sure who, is not manning up when Geelong go into slow mode, and they get out every time.

Where is the bloke who argued with me that we are destoying Gawn by giving him bi support. He has been worked over.

Indeed. He is struggling. Looking to the umps a lot

Harmes tries to break tackles too often.

He and Melksham too.  We're not at training now boys.

should have been ... front on

BT doesn’t even mention the fact the handbagger was not interested in anything except for Tom’s head.

I know Goodwin is only the second coach we've had since Neeld, but relative to the talent available, we are witnessing the worst coaching performance since 2012-2013. Everything from player development to selection to game day structure and plan. Coming back from this is going to involve a Mark Thompson circa-2006 type turnaround. I just don't see it.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
