They are working him back into fitness in the AFL so they rate him and will stick with him as builds back.

Fingers crossed that his last quarter gives him a little bit of a confidence boost. I still don't see him as a winger but he does seem to be getting gradually better at being in useful spots where teammates will actually send the ball his way.

Brayshaw is kinda like the fifth Beatle just outside the fab 4 of Gawn Viney Oliver and Petracca.

But he is very talented and I hope he finds his spot on the wing as I feel he still offers a lot.

I’ve given up hope he will ever get back to the heights of 2018, but that’s fine, he still has a role to play. Hopefully he can build into some serious fitness and make that wing spot his own. He’s not my idea of a perfect wingman, but he’s the best option we’ve got.

Time to win

Exactly, I recall Footscray many years ago being stripped of its best players, Kelvin Templeton (capt), Garry Baker,  Alan Stoneham,, Laurie Sandilands (capt) Robbie McGhie, Bernie Quinlan to name a few. It ripped the guts out of the club and broke their supporters hearts.

I would hate it if Melbourne was seen as a development  centre for the larger clubs and would lose interest.

A few years ago we thought he’d be a real star.  Then the concussion concerns meant we are lucky to be seeing him on the paddock.

Brayshaw was very quiet v Saints.  Had 7 touches up to 3/4 time and then a better last quarter.  Played wing for most of the night.  Had three inside 50s in last quarter.  I’d keep him in as the team is performing.

Quiet early but important in the last

What do people make of Bradshaw's game on the weekend and also throughout the year. There's been times where I've like Bradshaw's game, but then more times where he's looked a liability on the wing.

I'm sure I'll get the whole he plays the sacrifice wing role etc etc. But if an opportunity came up where a club was willing to pay something enticing in the trade period then I'd jump at it personally. Having 6 disposals for the game out on the wing isn't positive form going into the finals.

Was matched up on Seedsman throughout the game at times and was comprehensively beaten throughout the day. Seedsmam had 36 disposals and a staggering 749m gained.

They're not trading out the Treasurer of the social club.

He has  football brain and thats not nothing.  Helps out in defence many times over the season and still one of our best in one-on-ones overhead..  A keeper IMO

Garbage game looked slow and disinterested

Had his role changed later in the game on Sunday so I reckon that's a sign he wasn't playing his role to Goody's requirements.

If you're talking about the inside midfield role then he simply needs to be played there or not be in the side.

Having him frozen out on the wing like he was on the weekend is simply not good enough from a guy of his calibre.

Really think he's dropped off significantly the past few weeks and it's getting to the point where I just feels he's adding not much to our side now.  Problem is we have no one to replace him with.

Langdon matched up on Seedsman almost all day, and specifically in the first quarter. Both teams wanted to use the wing those 2 were on all game. Angus plays the defensive wing and does a lot of running purely for the team.

He’s an important role player for the team. The stats don’t tell you the whole story.

He’s been good the last couple of weeks. I’d have to watch it again but it seemed like the ball was always on the opposite wing. I’m not a big fan, I’d rather a more natural wingman. But I admire him trying to adapt for the sake of the team.

That’s interesting because I just watched the replay and saw them line up against each other.

I'm sure they did at some stage, but that doesn't mean "Langdon matched up on Seedsman almost all day,"

Delidio and Ball were reviewing the game and said completely ignore the stat sheet. Brayshaw was good. Did what a defensive winger is supposed to do. That roll is the worst in the Game. Work your [censored] off for no reward. But the hardest position to play on the ground. He only moved into the centre at the end to give Oliver and Trac a rest.

2 tackles and 12 pressure acts is pretty poor from a specialist 'defensive winger'.

He had a poor game. Not the end of the world or his career, but find it strange people are working so hard to defend it.

Not trying to defend, just adding to the conversation

Heard that too. Maybe Luke Ball and De Lidio know more about football than internet warriors

If your getting to all the right places as a defensive winger and your a quality player respected by the opposition. You probably won’t see much of the ball. Going back to the first doggy’s game, they didn’t show him respect and backed in their players over him. Didn’t work out well. Not trying to say he was brilliant on Sunday maybe just underrated.

To be honest I thought that he was playing injured or copped a bad corky that he was trying to run out he lacked any zip and nearly got run down heading into the fwd line and had to handball to Max to avoid being tackled.!!!
