Calm down Donald!!

"Grab A Snatch And Hold It" is a great song by a 60s/70s Aussie band called Chain.

That was good stuff in the pocket from both Spargo and T Mac. Good signs this late in the game.

Not me: I really feel for him. He's taking one for the team.

Hogan never played as a ruck so there’s not much to see based on today

But i am speaking in terms of marking

He has to hold them otherwise he won’t be useful as a Fwd either

My concern with Weid despite him not being a ruck is that he can't stick marks.

Which is a more than fair observation, but pretty harsh for people to be having a crack at his ruck work today.

I think if you add Fritsch into this forward line it starts to look fairly dangerous, I like what Kozzie brings with his pressure and nous around goals.

Brown and Weid to fight it out for the second tall role with Brown ahead at the moment in my opinion, Weid hasn’t had a chance today to show what he can add up forward tho in his defence

Perhaps settle down a tad re Weid. It’s a first hit out. Some of the best forwards in the game can’t stick their marks early.

good to see a full 4 qrt effort 3 mins left still chasing and tackling. I know its early days but world apart from '19 team

score 103 to 70

Tracs 37 disposals 3 goals ..... watch out

Weid!!!!!

I think the main thing to learn out of todays game is that people will now be scrambling to get Trac into their fantasy teams.

Trac has had a f*cking huge game. 38 disposals, 3 goals, 185 fantasy points. That must be the biggest game by a Demon in many years. Lets hope increased fitness and midfield time sees him become the great player we all know he can be. Very exciting!

Petracca was good last year. I am not suprised he has shone today

Hahaha [censored] GO DEES !!!!

The fitness is real :)

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
