Plenty of disagreement on Demonland but less personal attacks.

Defeating the Eagles in Round 1 at Optus and me escaping the ground without getting punched in the mouth.

Fritta to play every game, therefor kicking 50 plus goals.

I want to see either a Sparrow or Jordan fight for a regular spot, investment wise it was big decision to draft these types of players when it wasn't a priority so they need to start to push hard for selection.

All of the above, esp. Steve McQ keeping his teeth.

It will be great if one or both of them come on this season and it sounds like there's every reason to have some confidence that will happen.

Pick 27 and Pick 33 doesn't sound like a big investment to me, compared with say the pick 3 and pick 10 investment this year - "now that's a knife"

What "types" are they and which players do you think we missed out picking there?

The weid winning the Coleman and the filth winning the spoon.

Love to beat the West Coast in Perth round 1  convincingly to the tune of 10 goals and make that statement. Could set us up for  the remainder of the year.

I like to see Petracca  kick 7 straight goals in a match winning display in the Queens birthday game.

Being free of any major injuries.

Dont get me wrong im not really critical of them, i just thought we had other areas we should have addressed rather than an inside mid and half back flanker.

The investment is pick 6 for May and KK could have been King, would be very handy. but thats teh draft for you, full of what ifs. i just hope they can have an impact and show something.

A game plan!

A system that doesn't involve hit-and-hope balls kicked to the top of the square. Or a system that doesn't press too far and leave opposition running into open, easy goals. Where the midfield are not bees to a honeypot and no one plays outside...

Other than that. Players played in correct positions. Team selection based on form/fitness.

Shepherding.

Like, you mean a team mate getting between one of our players with the ball and an opposition player who's intent on mowing him down ??

What purpose wouldn't that serve ??

I will be very happy with the first half of that dl4e

Shepherding, yes shepherding. That seems like a pretty good idea. Oh ...........and Weideman dominating a game at full forward.

Depending on their size, I’d back myself in to handle a few of the Meth-Head’s anyway.

Amount of beers = imagination.

Barrels, speckies, match day kick to kick, finals buzz, transparent injury reports, training bbq's, father sons, draft gems, new revenue streams, no concussions   .......   and less bushfires!

In my case, I'd beat them in a fight by 50m.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
