Best 22?

Looking forward to your Best 22 Preseason Training 2020 Edition.

In all seriousness though it's impossible to tell at this stage as some players are on modified programs and others haven't even hit the track yet. Patience.

@kev martin   you need to be bit earlier ??? Weid, Petty and Josh Wagner out early

Marty Hore stood on Spargo's foot

It was Joel Smiths' first main session, probably had a limit

Nietschke did not miss a target when he kicked

Petracca was a standout, I don't care if he grabs his [censored] at the end of his kicking routine, if he maintains this standard

Thanks Saty for the follow up.

I will continue to get there at the advertised time.

If I miss things it can't be helped. Trust in MFC and I will respectfully not comment on training I'm not, as a fan invited to (generally speaking).

Quite often I can be wrong as most of my observations are from a distance and are formed by opinion.

The collision of Charlie and Marty happened right in front of me. Charlie was defending from behind with Marty on the lead, in a loud clash he caused a tangle of the legs. I think he mistimed it with his defensive pressure. He tried running it off and after clutching at his calf he took a knee and the trainer came out. Maybe he over extended his foot but it wasn't trodden on.

Don't ever change what you do Kev, your reports are articulated and at a measured standard. I anticipate reading your reports at every training session.

Agree

Kevs reports are detailed and interesting.

We can also have an opinion on players without him jumping down our throat.

He is what the site has been crying out for, for a long time.

Long may he post.

That's all right gentlemen, I know you can't handle a difference of opinion, you must always be right

@kev martin reports are excellent

Bit more depth than mine, but then again we get a cross section of opinion/observation, isn't that right?

Only thing I don't like, is blokes being derogatory about a players ability, when they have never played at AFL level, at least the player is having a crack at AFL level,  perfect example is Omac, but then again you can post what you like anonymously

On Spargo, they had his boot off, looking at the top of foot, so not sure

Wow never seen someone get triggered quite easy over a comment that has has nothing to do with them.

And I am sorry, but point out where anyone on this thread has been derogatory towards a player? Everyone is having a fair discussion without being nasty towards a player or poster.

But yet AGAIN you try and make this all about you ya big sook.

Some of us are allowed to enjoys who make fine contribution to training reports and are willing to engage in a mature and healthy discussion. Then there's you.

Let's not derail this thread please.

In fairness to Saty your posts praising Kev's amazing training reports were thinly veiled attacks on Saty.

Was it? Those are some big words you are using for something that's incorrect. I have no issues with his training reports at all. As he has already said he doesn't go into depth like Kev does, but that's fine, some might like that better which is perfectly fine. I like Kevs because he does go into a bit more depth and will call it as he sees it.

What I don't like is that when Kev does say that he will stop reporting training because you have one idiot who has a slight dig at him because he sees things different to him, then he needs to be called out on it. If @kev martin decides to stop reporting training on this board purely on the back of someone having a crack for looking at it in a different lenses then that'll be it for me.

Not everyone has to see training in the same context as Saty you know...

Again, I am not here to derail a training report. I am happy for all contributions that are done in training reports whether that's saty or kevs. Especially when I am based in Albury and can't get down at all.

So if one of us played at afl level it is ok to make derogatory comments about players? I would consider that just as bad

Oh for heaven’s sake we want all observations from anyone who attends training sessions! We want information, it will always be subjective and most of us work out the regular reporters style and preferences. What we crave is content. By the way I get there every now and then but don’t report too often because Saty and Kev have it all covered and I must admit I don’t pick up the detail they do.

Have suggested this before, but anyway we can tag or pin posts in the training threads that relate to training?

Absolutely love all the training posts, cannot be assed reading all the rubbish internet bickering between them

Could not agree more. I'm based up in Qld and appreciate ALL reports be they from Saty, Kev or someone else. I take their respective views on training as beneficial and those people that wish to bag Saty and anyone else that give us these reports are just LITTLE ignorant people and should get the hell out of here.

People, please just take the reports as is and kindly not bag the reporter or one day you will not get any reports on training. Then you willl winge big time.

As a fellow Banana bender I concur wholeheartedly. Travel reviews are different strokes from different folks as are restaurant reviews but we are far richer for the variety of content than ONE solo scribe.

Keep the stories  and  the facts coming at the end of the day we will read into it our way but thank you so much for the on the  spot nature and depth of content.

I would rather know why Petty is not back training than see these mind numbing arguments

What was his injury at the end of the year again?

Petty is training, he is in 'rehab' with Weid, both slowly building up

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
