That was some game, umpires finally put the whistle away in the last 15m.

Which poor bugger will get dropped for Toby?

I want to see the dees fight like both those teams did

Wouldn’t that be nice

There is a Footy God....

New worst job in the world..... PSO on the Hurstbridge line tonight.  ???

Very poor ruck work by Grundy in the last couple of minutes. Just tapping the ball back into the congested stoppage time after time. Should have tried to knock it into the clear.

Along with Greene coming back I’d really like to see both Coniglio & Whitfield back next week to make it really interesting. I don’t think Collingwood would’ve stood a chance against Richmond, but bring back those 3 players for GWS & this GF becomes a lot more intriguing.

The 37 GWS supporters in attendance might want a chaperone to escort them back to the airport. Wouldn't want to be at Richmond station.

Hahahahahahaha!!! Cannot wait to see the Pies supporters at work on Monday, who spent the whole week talking about their plans for Grand Final day. Delicious!!!

Thank God. My husband wanted me to order balloons etc for his office for next week - he was so confident that Collingwood would be in the GF.

I've resigned myself to the inevitable nightmare scenario next week. Geelong v Collingwood, my two most despised teams bar Essendon, in the grand final together. [censored]!

You can all thank me later for jynxing both results with this premature comment and creating the best possible GF outcome for everyone!

Next week should be an absolute cracker. I don't even care if the Giants upset the Tigers. I'll be happy with either result.

I don't think there is any doubt the umps tried to pull the filth over the line. That goal was touched and how they awarded it is simply staggering. That free late in the quarter for deliberate out of bounds that the filth got was not inmy opinion there. I hate the filth and they did not deserve to win.

They didn't even deserve to be top 4, if not for one upset in the last round they would've been out last week.

That seriously warms the heart. Pies were all looking forward to next week like this week was a given. Guess again.

Now to go one more and cause the tears to flow at Punt Road.

Commentators sound like they're at a funeral.

Suck eggs you hacks!

Hear hear SF.  What a pathetic bunch of AFL trollops

Thoroughly deserved by GWS, you can’t play one incredible quarter as per the commentators lingo and expect to win.

i really hope the giants win next week or else i'll have to leave Victoria, Richmond are my most hated club by far and i don't think i could stand them winning another one. come on giants !

How could they get that Goal review so wrong. A room full of HD Screens and frame by frame viewing

ANSWERS AFL....

Couldn't give a stuff who wins next week. Both the puddy tatts and filth knocked out. Can't get much better than that.

About time something didn't fall the way of the wobbles, been given a cherry pick ride through the finals and still couldn't get through. Bucks still without a premiership, long may it reign. And McChins can drink on his salty tears for the next 6 months.

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
