Free kick count 0-7....

I wonder if they will crack double digits before we get one.

Not only is our team painful to watch we also need to put up with garbage umpiring. Why do I bother?

These umps are like Oprah for the Eagles. You get a free kick and you get a free kick. You all get a free kick.

Classic Dees fans. Always someone else's fault hey.

Free kick, free kick, free kick. It is becoming a [censored] joke.

Weak rubbish from Preuss there.

Jesus Christ Pruess, you have a chance to smash McGovern and you let him go.

Your goal

I hate what AFL football looks like now. Bloody terrible.

We are terrible. But 9-0 frees to West Coast?! Give me a break!

9 frees to 0

7 of which were there, 2 weren’t. The thing I have a problem is is the 5-6 frees not paid for the same things to us.

having said that we are loosing at our own boot, not because of the umpire.

You can't breathe on an Eagles player.

You don’t tug on superman’s cape

You don’t spit into the wind

You don’t pull the mask of that old Lone Ranger

And you don’t breathe on an Eagle

Afl umpirinf is a bad joke.

And pruess ffs that is weak as [censored]

How can anyone argue with the umpiring? You have to earn free kicks.  A couple of questionable ones but most free kicks have been there

0-9 hahahahhaa

Where's the throw on redden?

PRUESS let go knowing the fat [censored] big Mac McGovern would have just dropped in anyway and it would have been a free against

normally dont worry about umps but really this is terrible peuss spun him 360 so that is a free

The AFL have the umpires running two sets of rules.  One for the big boy clubs and one for the lessor lights.

Earlier today Danger took a mark in the exact same position up against the boundary as Salem just then.  Danger wheeled inside about 2 meters and set his own mark well inside the boudary....no "Play On" called.

Salem takes one step or so in side the boundary and DOES NOT play on, no more than 2 feet, but is automatically called to "Play on"....there are two leagues running with two sets of umpiring interpretations going on, depending on who the team is on the receiving end.

Nearly every free has been there, we’re [censored] stupid.

Why don’t our spoils ever go more than 2 metres? Never seen anything like it.

Can’t think of the 5-6 they’ve missed tbh

WOWOWOOWOWOWOW WE GOT A FREE

Looks a lot like the first half of the Preliminary Final. But, of course we won’t remember that.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
