Pie getting thumped is always nice. If they can beat the Eagles in this form maybe we’re a chance tomorrow.

That's why I'm not fussed with Carlton overtaking us today. If this seasons going to be bad it might as well be truly shizen. Regroup over preseason with players ready to go on day 1, with the number 2 pick and an easier draw.

That’s the way. Choose the soft option

that’s what The MFC does so well...

If North win... we are seriously bad

We are. The style of play hasn’t changed this year. Good teams can change styles quickly and go

Brad Scott and Bolton were ordinary Coaches.

At least we can take some joy from Collingwood being pummelled. That's always fun.

I was at the Richmond game today. A few things I noticed that stand out when watching sides other than us:

  1. Their forwards held marks so much more often than ours do. Whether it was across half-back when trying to clear their defensive 50, or in the forward 50 when it was congested, they had Lynch and Riewoldt (amongst others) actually clunking marks
  2. They also generally kept one or two forwards deep, generally having someone forward of the play all the time and allowing them to have someone leading up at the ball carrier
  3. With those leads and marking forwards, even when the ball wasn't marked when it hit the ground there was immediate pressure through the middle
  4. Their mids, when getting their hands on the ball, took a couple of steps from the contest before kicking

A shame we can't say the same thing about the bummers.

But I hope Brisbane can win. I don't mind seeing them in 2nd spot.

Norf are being crucified by the umps here. I know the commentators are raving on about ill discipline but no question they're being stitched up

Lions getting an absolute armchair ride from the umps again. Free kicks now 25-14.  Was 9-8 at half time.

Lots of marginal calls go to Lions yet the Roos have to get obvious frees only.  Dees would like that sort of treatment just in one game EVER.

You sure about that?

Really. Two soft frees to Lions kills the game. Very soft. Unbelievable in such a contest.

It would rip out Norfs heart.  If that to the Dees I’d be uncontrollable

Big statement but close to the worst umpiring of the year Bris v North

The AFL and their “rules” coupled with the clown maggots who make it up as they go, are just ruining our game.

I thought Maxys free against was the worst free kick of the year...

But that one against Thompson really takes the cake. Yet another green maggot ruining a great game of footy by being completely incapeable of doing their job.

Go get [censored] AFL you're a joke of a league

You're kidding right?

Horrific umpiring to get bris the win.

GC discarded a player like Jared Lyons now they want a pick 1 pp. Get stuffed.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
