Fritsch went off with an injury. Anyone know what it was?

29 frees handed out that half.

Knee. It buckled. Went to get it strapped. Doesn’t look too serious.

Seriously you wonder how these players get paid the amount they get. Kicking for goal was shocking that quarter.  Trac should be nailing those goals now. Neal bullen is just spraying them.

Not the best game to watch

Dislocated foot?.....the way hes been kicking

Every time Frisch touches the ball Carltank get a goal. He is the new turnover merchant of this club. Should not be playing on the backline FFS.

ANB has been horrible

you dont miss a shot from 30m directly in front and say he's had a good game.

bad kicking is bad football.

Why not kick long with 40 seconds to go. Embarrassing.

Poorly coached/drilled or no football brain.  Or a combo of both.  Even our younger inexperienced players have generally gone backwards from last season under Goody aside from new ones that haven't been in the system long enough to be effected at senior level (Lockhart).

I don’t think it is too much to expect your team to play afl standard footy. We are not at under 9’s level ATM.

most idiotic move by Goodwin. especially when  u have hacks like weideman, ANB and petracca missing simple shots that 95% of suburban players would kick

Plenty of kicks but nearly every one went to Carlton. Up here at home in Qld and would have to be the worst game of Footy I have ever seen. Just as well Carlton are giving it back to us after we give it to them. Taking in turns to stuff it up. Oh well it is the 2nd and 3rd last teams

Apparently we are whingers if we expect our team not to be horrible.

Omac before Frost.

Petracca is a star.

Carlton will beat Melbourne.

What next people....

The return of Omac

Set shots are our achilles heel.

Surely Someone can get Tracd to lowere the ball drop < and Wieds

A small fwd like ANB MUST be better around the goals. He is not confident at shooting,.. Agree we could have this shot to ribbons but for our goal kicking.

That last minute was embarrassing .... nothing good will come from this game and of course we had to have the weekly injury.

Weideman missing everything from around 30.... (not alone) there's seriously something wrong in the headspace of the players.

And then the number of chip passes that have missed their targets. Luckily not too many turnovers but momentum killers.

Sorry, I meant to say Bald Headed F*** - four letter f word of your choosing

Fail, fake?

I'd just like to say that I've been screaming for fritsch to be played forward all year and also, can tom McDonald stop smiling. you're in a rabble of a club playing another rabble. smile when you start playing like a top 100 afl player.

I really wonder what Max is thinking watching this from the stands

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
