Casbolt usually can't hit the side of a barn but against us kicks then from the boundary.

He has kicked more from that spot than he has missed.

Blowing my own ‘travel trumpet’ by reporting in from Lefkada Island in the Ionian Sea (think Rosebud on Steroids).

Ordinary day yesterday: money clip with €70 cleverly lifted from pocket on crowded Athens train. 6:30 am here. Dees win needed so I can get another hour of sleep.

Umpiring is atrocious and getting worse.

Backline horrendous today. Defensively we are atrocious. We pay the opposition no respect.

Our inside structure up the line is a shambles...too many on the skinny side cost us that goal.  Still amature after 2.5 seasons under Goody

Did they say May went off.

Hope we get chop of the arms frees like this.

Why wasn’t Pruess paid 5 seconds earlier ????

Poor Mary

Is Preuss a horrible ruckman or am I just used to seeing Gawn?

Carlton plays confident albeit chaotic football. They are playing well above their weight. Evidently, we are playing well below ours. Carlton will get a run on. They look dangerous every time they go forward. Still think we're set for a 8-10 goal loss. Nothing in that quarter convinced me otherwise.

Horrible compared to Gawn

Stupid autocorrect.

Mary doesn’t deserve to be called names. She’s not why we are so bad!

Kreuzer's round the ground play is keeping them in this not to mention our atrocious forward play.

Footy skills, what is that. None at the G today.

Theyre amazing what they try over there. I can tell you some stories. Take care out there.

14 frees handed out that quarter. This is why AFL struggles getting interest in other countries on the game, no one knows wtf is going on.

I should apply yo be the forwards coach.

All u have to do is run towards the ball if u get there go for it (the morr fliers the better) no matter how many players are there. Then all stand around and repeat.

So far Preuss is holding his own in the centre

That should have been an 8 goal quarter and almost game over.

Weideman is not even the shadow of an AFL forward

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
