I seriously feel sorry for the MFC employee who will be reading these emails.

I will not hold back

Sharpening the Blades before i commence...

Good for you. However its unlikely they even barrack for us and get paid every week anyway.

The more I think about our problems the more I think our biggest one and most pressing is being homeless. It is really difficult to fully comprehend as we are so used to it. Even the most basic of suburban Clubs has an oval with a pavilion, car parking and a community club feel. That is why I am so hard on Pert, nearly one year in and no communication towards a solution after wasting time on the proposal at the G that should have never got past its initial brainstorm.

I said that the communication from the club to members this year has been appalling. Have not heard boo from our CEO. You’d hardly know he works at MFC

Well I for one am certainly looking forward to his letter of apology and refund at seasons end !!! ???

Our problems are onfield and in the Changeroom. The Players work hard, but NEVER hard enough. We are reactive and not proactive, said it here in 2006 and not a thing has changed.

Our home is The MCG, that is where the Club was conceived, make Finals and the Demon Army will fill the place.

I want to see the Club work much harder, before they are “gifted a new home”

Members should have received an email today from the club requesting you to participate in a membership survey. It's a good thing they did it today compared to if they sent it on Monday (and following a loss to Carlton if it occurs).

Would love yo know what @Sir Why You Little put down for the top 5 words that come to mind when you think about the Melbourne Football club!

Nope - not a positive year of football so far and there are limited sliver linings to follow, I'm afraid. Designed to elicit responses that they wish to hear.

Our website sucks

This has been a scrawny year for the Website. Dull, lifeless, deficient in explanations,.

We fill in the surveys each year but never get a response or any feedback. I understand that on-field performance will fluctuate, but nothing seems to change off-field regardless of the survey results or feedback.

Communication to members has always been poor, but it has been totally absymal this year. Couple that with the dire on-field performance and I really wonder the club hopes to gain from this survey.

I know you are a committed and passionate supporter so do not wish to argue your point. I just wish we could wave a wand and have the MCG as our home base too. I just cannot see how it could come to pass.I agree on the hard work and hard work and think we should have looked at a monster Barassi  type offer for Joel Selwood years ago to teach a generation how to prepare and play the game.

I am quite happy for the Club to stay where it is, we just need the other clubs who share, to move on.

I expect a full Independent Review of the Football Dept over Summer.

Goodwin must have Performance based clauses written into his contract.

Bartlett has a lot of work head of him

Spleen vented, pity the poor soul that has to pass on my comments.

I'm afraid I was half hearted about this survey. Answering the questions was like pulling out a splinter, painful but necessary. Couldn't even think of five words. Only put underperforming. What in all honesty do they expect us to say? I passed on the extra comments section. I really couldn't think of anything, it's all been so disappointing.

I also passed on the competition at the end, for the opportunity to be in the team photo with three ( I think) friends. Do not want to be part of that. Please offer a better prize.

5 words hey ???

I DEMAND A [censored] APOLOGY !!!!!!!!

Notated my disappointment on the online survey, but yes I could imagine some office youngsters rolling around in laughter as they read the responses from passionate members over a morning cappuccino.

It is what it is.

Tell them how bad this year has been in no uncertain terms.

And as for those pitiful post game talks by the loser coach- WTF?

Absolutely right!

The club could have saved the time and effort involved in a survey by simply reading this and one or two other threads currently alive on Demonland.

I think they'd get the picture of how supporters are feeling atm.

Simples!

One wonders why West Coast get to train on the G over us:

This amused me, I just completed the survey and when I hit finished it told me that the Soft ware  did not work and my survey was lost.

Sounds very much like the team. Failed to lift off.

So I sent off an email to the membership department suggesting they might not get many replies if this is the norm.

I will try again soon but it was not very flattering so perhaps they don't need it.

I still haven't got this, obviously not on the list this year or they didn't like the feedback I've given previously

I only wrote down 3 answers. My first answer was soul destroying. And I meant it.

It still astounds me that we can get 50k+ members for a team that has performed well in 5 years of the last 55.

We must be the most deluded bunch of people in society.

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
