Really people???  If Gawn doesn't play, Pruess will. It is that simple - and obvious.

NOTHING is obvious when u support the MFC palace, that’s the only thing that is obvious.

Why is Lewis playing ?

I’ll have a guess:

1.  4 AFL Premierships, AA selection, Hawks B & F, 40 VFL touches last week....... all as a midfielder

2.  Our midfield got flogged last week.

3.  Is a proven wet tracker.

Unfortunately it has been worse than ever this year.

I have no  idea about what the boards KPIs are for pert and so no real sense of how he is travelling as CEO. Except in regard to communication.

Communication and supporter engagement is critical for teams long terms success and viability. i would argue it is never more critical than when a team i struggling. And responsibility for communication falls squarely at the feet of the CEO.

Really it is beyond ridiculous that the Pert could publicly say we are aiming for 70, 000 members (which is fine in of itself) and then allow our communication to be so woeful. I mean talk about a disconnect.

I have been banging on about this for years now. Time for me to put my money where my mouth is. I will go to the next AGM and ask why our communication has been so poor and what they plan to do about it.

I agree totally agree with you Binman. This was in fact my criticism of the club in the online member review and is as much a disappointment to me as the on field performance.

I had no issue with Pert when he was employed as CEO as some here did. Since then though he has been a ghost. Surely he should be talking to members in such a disappointing season.

I live in WA, am a long time member and the communication is terrible. Our website is laughable!

Just out of curiosity, what is it that everyone wants the club to communicate to them ?

My source tells me that Max’s ankle is extremely swollen and his toes are black and blue. I have no idea how he is standing upright let alone be considered fit to play.

A very curious question. What is your intent behind asking that?

I'm not surprised Jane. As I posted earlier, given the way he landed, and the mass of the man, I reckoned there was zero possibility of him playing this week . Just hope it's not even worse than anyone's letting on.

Didn’t see Max at training this morning. Greg Stafford doing a lot of ruck work with Pruess and the mids. Dunkley working with the mids. Jones not doing much, just helping the coaches. Only saw the last 15 mins of a short session so don’t know if Max was out earlier.

Apparently he is saying he will be fine ( he always says that) but I agree he has zero chance of playing.

Because we are members and supporters and therefore the most important stakeholders in the club.

Great to hear. I was at the Collingwood practice game and literally the first thing I saw was this big scary guy, and within a minute he took a big grab and kicked from 50 out towards the flank. I am bewildered he has not played more often.

Care factor?  I assume as CEO he is on a fair salary and not doing it for peanuts or the love of the MFC.

Reckon a jolly good flogging might just be the tonic needed to get him up and about BBO.  He would soon forget about any ankle  pain!

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
