Thank you SWYL.  I've had a few (too many) Heathcote Shiraz.  My sarcasm meter is a bit numb!

This club will send anyone to drink!

You write it as if it's a negative. I'd slip it into the club marketing strategy as well as a list of best 'coping' wines, scotches and beers..

You may not be able to pick footy teams Luci but your taste in booze is excellent!

We had the handball to petracca's feet which he fumbled, cost certain goal, harmed dropping a mark 40m he should have taken, tmac's pie drop 10m out. They missed easy goals we were too [censored] to even use the opportunity to score! The Hannan switch to no one...

horrible horrible effort.

Yep there were so many the main one that stood out was the Hannan one.

Doesnt matter what the game plan is or what the coach does on game day if we can’t hit a [censored] target on the field.

Skills is under 8’s stuff.

Some of these players need to learn 'footy smarts'. So many times they make wrong decisions. Example; take a strong mark and then play on without weighing up the options, handpassing to a team mate who is already covered and under pressure, etc. Result, turn over, turn over.  And for goodness sake why not have a shot at goal if you are within striking distance instead of lobbing it over to no one or the opposition. Take a chance! Take the game on!

Thought the same thing BBO. It's a thread in itself. Best drink to turn to when Melbourne utterly crushes your spirit.

Our list isn't dreadful it's just lacking a little quality around the edges. Just 1 good small forward and a hard runner on the wing would make a huge difference.

Goodwin was the same coached who improved us 3 years in a row but nice story about him being another Neeld.

Agree with your ins, also add one small defender willing to stay down and crumb, rather than trying to go up for a mark or punch!

Sorry, 36 tackles is an appalling effort!

No team is competitive let alone win with that sort of non-pressure and let the op have easy ball.

He/she was taking the pizz Luci.........

Forward line tackles

Weiderman: 0

Petracca: 0

Tmac: 1

Hunt: 1

Hannan: 1

Smith: 1

Total of 4 tackles (average 1 per Quarter) in our forwardline today. Absolutely pathetic forward pressure. No wonder every team just prances out of our attacking 50.

The main reason is we only have about 10-14 contributors every week.

This week our best 3 of that lot were overwhelmed by Zorko and Neale. The rest lost confidence after Tmacs dropped mark.

If we elevated the best at Casey each week and dropped consistent non-performers, Wied, Hannan Petty for example it would make shouldering the load easier.

The coaching sucks because they insist on constant blooding dropkicks and ignoring JKH, Lewis and Pruess.

I will have to start drinking because no one else sounds as depressed as I am. A few bottles of the good stuff must have been consumed this afternoon.

This team is truly schizophrenic.

Even with so few winners on the day and a disfunctional forward line, they were there abouts for two and a half quarters.

They desperately need some outside ball users. Brayshaw, Hunt, Baker and Hibberd, et al are not cutting it.

Season over after Round 14....

If i hear fluffy Rubbish from Coaches and Presidents, in the weeks to come, there is no way i will be parting with another yearly $1,000

Today’s performance onfield and in the box [censored] me right off. We could have so easily won that game.

Dumb lazy decisions killed the season (again)

was hoping to see some clear improvements in this six week stretch but we went backwards today due to an outdated gameplan.

Was hoping otherwise with some strengths returning but you are absolutely correct. So readable ...so inefficient - even when on a roll.

Jetta will be that player. Might take him a while to be trained to stay down and trust his team mates but when you have Steven May next to you it's a lot easier to learn that.

The whole backline is a mess right now because they are changing roles and uncertain of each other.

If we can get at least 4 of Jetta, Lever, May, Frost and Hibberd settled for more than a few weeks things will improve.

I agree dee-tox instead of handballing into the ground at the feet of our team mates we need someone that is prepared to run with the ball and hit up targets, it was so bad I was wondering how are they going to mess this up when we were totally in the clear and yet we still stuffed it up.......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You just know how this will all end.

Pert, Bartlett, Goody will be gone in the medium term having achieved no success.  In the meantime we get fed a fantasy by the Club.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
