Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Okay. No more to debate.

The situation is diabolical.

Who are we going after?

Don't agree...

I think we stick with Weid, was ok considering the quality of ball coming forward and lack of assistance with Petracca being the only other forward who looked like they could play.

...but please drop Tommy back to Casey. He's giving us nothing.

Pruess can take his place.

I'm not amazed anymore.

Some supporters will just continue on singing at the bar while the Titanic sinks.

You can call it what you like, but I, like the club will not panic when things go pear shaped, that is for the weak kneed to do.

I am also certain they will look at every option to improve the the forward line and the entry into it by the midfield.

How about Preuss?

Hasn't the tank yet. A few posted in the Casey thread thay he looked spent during the 3rd quarter. This seems to happen every game he plays. Remember he's only 23 and played no Aussie rules until he was 17, so he's still learning.

However, Tmac looks so out of form that Preuss to 3/4 time is certainly looking like an attractive option.

You have my vote Stormy

By the way, as the Titanic was sinking there probably wouldn't have been a much better place than singing at the bar and having last drinks.

I think we need to set Weid up as our key and use Pruess to crash and bash with Tommy heading back to Casey.

We're top heavy with the 3 and Tommy's form doesn't warrant a game.

If we get Weid one on one and put the ball to advantage then he is going to get his fair share.

We should take best available in the draft. If that's a midfielder, great.

Improve the system and as Collingwood have shown, ordinary players can become role players and wins eventually come.

We'll also have a softer draw next year. If we get a new system working, we could jump straight back up.

Gary Pert being interviewed on SEN crunch time  right now. Was asked my Kane Cornes about list issues and problem areas at Melbourne. Pert immediately said the obvious one and the area of greatest priority is the forward line and our inability to hit the scoreboard.

Make no mistake - we will be head hunting a key forward this October if we haven’t already tapped someone up.

Hope you are correct MB as the current batch are ordinary and will not get us into a GF any time soon.

I liked what he had to say OD. He’s going to hold people to account for their performance from top to bottom. He’s fully aware of the problems.

I think that we should keep Weideman. Try May forward. At least he has the big ego of a power forward. We need Weid and one other big target to have a West Coast style forward line.

May could be the next Mitch Clark, without the depression and injuries.

Key forwards, our entire forward line needs addressing.  Our small/medium size forwards offer nothing no defensive pressure limited skills.  I would hate to be a key forward in our team, we bomb to the same spot and three of your team mates compete for the same make with no crumbing forwards at your feat.  Then when you offer a good lead the incoming kick misses you.

Tom MacDonald is a neocon who goes to Jordan Peterson conferences and does podcasts with the Institute Of Public Affairs. This is something I was willing to overlook when he was a half-decent footy player, but I can’t actually stand looking at the guy now that he sucks harder than a flagship-model Hoover.

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to
