Garlett's career On the line with this.

Just when you bag a bloke.

Apparently darling is on the field

We should be 5 goals up. Instead we are 2.

Win or lose, I will probably get ejected from this stadium for abusing these muppet eagle farrkkkss

What the hell's with the ridiculously loose zone on that kick in.  Too shallow and too much space....cost us a cheap goal!!!

Godamn I hate Kennedy.

And I hate handing the ball over for dumb goals when we're controlling general play.

Need that goal back

Surely that's a free against Kennedy for the knee directly in the back of Oscar without touching the footy.

Kennedy  flies for a crazy unrealistic screamer, doesnt touch it then ends up with a goal

Hore + Lever is going to be absolutely glorious to watch.

His kicking has improved out of site, i criticized him early for loopy kicks which were getting cut off, while still not darts and can shank one, picking better options and no where near as much height.

20 scoring shots to 12 this game should be over

all I want for Christmas in July is a goal kicking coach mostly for pe-trarcka

This is NOT over. We need this win so so badly. As good as we've played at times tonight, it will all turn to ashes in my mouth if we can't finish it off. Led at every change. Finish it boys.

We should be at least 5 goals up, so we're going to have to do this the hard way. A quick goal at the start of Q4 is necessary. Send the message that we won't be giving up this game.

Our goal kicking is atrocious and it will cost us this game and by extension finals.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
