Any whispers or inside word on who might come in this week? Preuss is a lock, given Gawn was smacked last time around. I feel Gawn will spend a large chunk of the game at FF. Anyone else interesting?

I understand the Match Committee is checking to see if we have anyone on our list by the name of Lazarus.

He'd be getting on a bit but we might be able to snaffle him in the mid season draft

Think Gawn will spend more time floating across the backline which is where they will hurt us. Pruess will do the ruckwork forward of centre

Not so sure on that, they only played 1 ruck last week (Vardy) with Oscar Allen the back up. We might decide to use Tim Smith to back up Gawn and then include another mobile forward option like Baker or ANB to replace Melksham.

Sustaining really high forward pressure and locking the ball forward might be the only way to stop their forwards tearing our backline apart.

Preuss for Keilty

ANB for Melksham

Baker it Petty for Hibberd

We don’t really have many defenders left. I can’t see them debuting Jordan just yet. Wagner has been in good form in the VFL but we don’t necessarily want another small forward in.

The broom has osteitis pubis so I’m going with:

Out: Melksham, Keilty, Hibberd

In: ANB, Preuss, Petty

I reckon Tim Smith to get the call up rather than Petty. Petty is built like Cale Morton.

Fair call, I didn’t realise he was available.

Cale Morton went to West Coast for pick 200 but was delisted shortly after so he wont play. But Tim Smith would be a good chance.

I heard there’s a broom in the cupboard that’s been in decent form, it might be a chance of getting selected.

LoL... 'ere  'ET',  try this one.

...  cleans up,  as a small forward.

Melksham out I would look to bring in Tim Smith and ask him to play a similar game as Melk. Run through the midfield every now and then and play high half forward.

Hibberd out then move Fitsch back there to keep some run out of the back line. Anb to come back or maybe Ossie Baker gets a run. it may be too much of an ask to debut him in Perth against WC. it may scar him for life.

Preuss for Keilty. Dec has had a taste and now knows the steps he needs to take. let him mature some more at Casey.

The words of bitter experience?

Maybe put it in a book. "Confessions of a Corporate Box Invitee". Then there was the time the boss brought his very religious wife with him. Turned out she was more than a little saucy! I had no sooner sat down next to her ...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
