Out: Jetta (inj), T Mc (?inj), Weideman, Lewis, C. Wagner, Spargo

In: Stretch, Keilty, T Smith, Sparrow, Lockhart, Garlett (shudders)

FB: Hore  Hibberd   C. Wagner
HB: Brayshaw  Frost   Salem
C:  Lockhart    Viney   Stretch
HF: Petracca  Keilty  Melksham
FF: T. Smith   Preuss   Garlett
Foll: Gawn  Oliver   Harmes
Int: Jones, Sparrow, Fritsch, Hunt

Badly need some fresh legs. Try Gus at half back, he's getting exploited in the midfield anyway. Fresh runners through the middle. Try something different up forward. Keilty to hit the packs, Tim Smith as the 3rd tall who gives more at ground level than most in our side.

IN: STRETCH, NEAL-BULLEN, LOCKHART, GARLETT, MAY

OUT: SPARGO, LEWIS, J.WAGNER, C.WAGNER, HORE

In - Stretch, Lockhart, Garlett - runners, some even with speed.

I haven't been overly enamoured with Kielty but he cant be worse than TMac, or for that matter, Weideman - equally horrible and cant mark the footy to save himself at the moment.

Don't really care who goes out - we stink

I’d drop Spargo who has no idea what he’s doing out there defensively.

I’d also pretend to “rest” at least one of Hibberd, Jones and TMac.

Forget pretending, Tommy Mac must go (at least Jones and Hibbard got near the ball) along with Lewis and Spargo...

Where are all those calling for Lewis to come back into the side to add some experience. For Fu.......sake.

He is a liability, the pity is we don't have anyone to replace him.

Play him at CHB FFS the forward line has failed him.

Out ; my interest in this unbelievably disappointing club for the remainder of 2019

In; more golf as my frequent disappointments are entirely of my own doing

Our best at delivering inside 50 are Milkshake and Angus.  Play them high half forward.  Bring in Jeffy and Lockhart to rove, and to lock the ball in the forward 50.  Tom Mac will be persisted with but he is terrible ATM.  We really need Aaron Vandenberg and Hannan back at half forward, and Lever/May in the backline.  Frost did OK tonight, I thought.  My guess is we will not be as brutal as we would like.

Ins:  OMac, Petty, Lockhart, Jeff, Maynard, Kielty

Outs: Spargo, Jones, Jetta (inj), TMac (desire, but unlikely), J Wagner, Take your pick of 7-8 others.

Jones out. Time for an effing huge statement.

Wingman

Yes, I am old and understand there has been many changes to game styles but could someone explain why the Club that produced Robbie Flower, Alan Johnson and Stan Alves in my time has no belief in the need to have a talented wingman  who can play at the MCG

Outs. Lewis. T mcd.  Spargo. J.Wagner

ins. Garlett Stretch Lockhart Jordan

Jetta. Frost. Hibberd

Salem. Hore. Hunt

Brayshaw. Viney. Stretch

Petracca. Weideman.  Melksham

Garlett. Preuss. Fritsch

Gawn. Harmes. Oliver

Jones.  Jordan. Lockhart. C-Wagner

Hunt and T. McDonald to the backline for starters.  We need Hunt’s pace to defend the opposition rebound and TMac needs to freshen up and find his form again.  Hunt if not a forward.

Jeffy gets a run in the forward line and must be demanded to tackle everything that moves.

Give Jones a defensive forward role in the pocket and tell him to make every ground ball a contest.  Hopefully snag a couple too.

Lockhart back in.  I like him; things seems to ‘happen’ when the ball is in his hands.

Weideman and Preuss stay as the talls up forward; not expecting a big bag from either, but hopefully a contest supported by Jeffy, Jones and Lockhart, will see a better outcome than today.

Um... don’t really know after that.

My worry is that with how much the tigers will destroy us by and how insipid we are, our performance could cost us anzac eve.

Play the kids

I've watched Casey enough times to wonder why Oskar Baker isn't getting a run. We desperately need pace and I'm bamboozled as to why he wasn't given a run last season. Now's the time.

Isnt he struggling at Casey?

Lockhart and Garlett must play Wednesday night.

We do have Bailey Fritsch ..... but he is, I believe, being played as a defender.

Desperate times, season all but over, time to see who we have on our list.

ins: Stretch, Lockhart, Jeffy, Sparrow

TMac goes back or out, Fritsch to a wing or half forward

outs: Lewis, Spargo, the Wagners

Anyone for a goddamn crumbing defensive forward. FML how many times can 17 players fly for the same mark up forward and watch a lone opponent run away with the footy?

Petraccattack, I've probably gone early but he couldn't do worse than Spargo.

Both captains on notice also.

For now.

In : O Mac, Lockhart, Garlett.

Out: Wagners, Spargo

O Mac surely gets back in if Jumping Jack plays. Frost to Lynch. At least with O Mac the Richmond talls will be forced to jump to mark the ball. Fritsch and Hibbo are not key defenders. Hore can go to Caddy and try to run off him, Hunt can go back to play on their mozzie fleet.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.

The Demons were sloppy all day and could not stop the run and carry of the fast moving Hawthorn as the Hawks cruised to an easy 36 point win. Is the season over yet?
