How clever we are to give Goodwin another 3 years before he could prove that last year wasn’t a total [censored] fluke.

Embarrasing.

That last play in the final seconds of the Qtr sums up what we are up against! "Play on, play on, play on" screams the ump and the Bomber player casually drops the ball to the turf in the tackle!!!! No further whistle for holding the ball will be entered into! I doubt the blokes who do the stats will even bother registering the tackle!!!

for any other coach this start to the year would be sackable.

This is [censored] putrid.

It's smelling very amateurish at the very least Praha.

We are 3 weeks in and apart from a few isolated pieces of good play we are a complete rabble from the get go.

The selections are also bewildering and Goody forecasts them by saying earlier in the week (re questions from press about  Max getting targeted and needing some help) something like "We are happy with Max blah blah".

So many dumb pieces of play.  So many sluggish footballers that have no burst speed and look like they've just played 4 quarters in a wet bog.

Goody the buck stops with you mate.

I’m shocked at how bad we are.

Genuinely cant believe it.

Me too DW. Our defence is 2013/standard. And we look like we,re second guessing every time we have the ball. We’re heading for another 80/plus thrashing .

The free against Jetta to Bulldogs reject was evidence of an ump who really wants to give a present to Bulldog reject!

How are we going? I can't really tell based on this thread.

21 down quarter time

When I said I enjoy a 2008 vintage I was referring to my wine and not my football team.....

Brayshaw kicking on his left when he doesn’t have to again.

What's the best that's "instructed" ;)

This just seems like 2007 all over again. Such a disappointment after such a great season. What happened

That was a 50 to us....

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
