Not if we throw Marty Hore on him. Perfect matchup!

Relax ...

We've got this.

( Not sure what 'this' is ?)

why is that @John Demonic?

How is Hooker right to play after being predicted to miss the first four games of the season? Must have some healing vitamins on hand down at Essendon. Oh, what?

So, here we are two weeks into the new season without a win and there are a number on this site that are calling it 'season over' already.

I am not one of them.

The list we have is the same one that played good footy last year so they know how to do it. we have had a shorter preseason than in recent years and we had a large number of players that went under the knife to fix niggles. All have added up to a slow start to the season. Week 1 we were as bad as we could be. Last week I saw and overall improvement in the general play with the highlighting of structural problems in our forward 50.

This week I think we will see another step up in overall quality of play and we will win a tight one to be 2-1 after the first three rounds.

We could use Jeffy.

We can use him for two good reasons in my view

One ...on his day is incredibly talented and hits the scoreboard.

Two ..  He tends to play his own game. For mine that's a plus as currently 'our game' is putrid.

Go Jeffy.

Hore / Frost  Friday  night. ?  A bit unlikely. Too warm for that.

In all seriousness, that should be an unbelievable show @Gorgoroth.  I wanted to get tickets but a close mate's 30th got the nod.  Disappointed, but I'll listen to the album over the weekend instead.

Because the other 17 clubs have improved more than we have?

Also will be seeing them in August at Brutal Assault, I’m pumped for it.

Didn't see changes v Essendon draft. I watched the Woods v Tigers, their two talls Mason and Grundy did well. On that base Preuss is a must. Petty could replace Frost or O.Mac however O.Mac could go forward. ANB ,Jones and possibly Petracca ( as awake up call ) could be dropped. Baker and Hore could get another go. Not sure if Viney is fit enough.

I have no life and a forgiving boss.

I have no wife, and a life full of loss  ?

The only thing to be decided on Friday night is the size of the loss. Reminds me of the Neeld days. No key forwards, poor delivery to those who are there. The key to our dreadful start in 2019. How on earth has this club failed to discuss / confront the Preliminary final  slaughter?

After Friday night we will be in another rebuild phase. My God it is boringly familiar.

Still cant believe all the work that goes into this website. Where do you find the time? Ive looked at some of the other sites, Bomberblitz for example. The are just so bad, boring and drab and you can hardly even read them. Well done @Demonland

Thought I would take your advice and see what the bummers think about Friday 's game,

They are an underwhelming lot !!   to say the least    Go Dees !!

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • POSTGAME: Geelong

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.
