Compound fracture, they are saying on the tv

I haven't been watching the game, what was the fracture of?

Might not be a compound fracture, reporting on this stuff is notoriously bad. Could just cracked in a few places clearly in need of surgery.

If it’s easy to pin it could be pretty quick, if it’s really a messy job it might be more like 6

Obviously just a jarred leg for JKH which is good not so good is Harmes breaking his finger.

I think little finger.  Compound fracture means the bone has broken the skin I believe, so I'd say minimum one month for a small bone to heal.  Plates these days can help though.

He didnt get a touch for a very long time into the game. Hasn't done anything that I would consider noteworthy.

Note: Not bagging him out. It's JL2.

At least he hasn't stuck out for all the wrong reasons.

Good point. The media hasn't exactly been covering itself in glory the past few years.

Anyone watching the Casey game know who #47 was ? They mistaken him for Pruess in a clip at half time.

Looks huge & had a fair bit of ink if that helps lol

Did this last year as well. Disappointing to have not improved upon this so far

FMD lads, what team DOESNT do this when there are no viable options... do you want perfection with every play?

No. Compound dislocation means  'dislocated bone'  has broken thru the skin.

Compound fracture means a  'broken bone'  has broken thru the skin.

His could be either,  if it has gone thru.

Has barely been near it. I expect him to have a similar year to Lever last year (minus the injury). I expect it will take time for him to gel with the other defenders and learn when to attack and leave his man etc. but I expect after a month or so he'll start doing some real damage and being an important cog for our finals run.

If it was a compound fracture would the doctor try and put the bone back in on the sideline? That’s what he tried, hence I assumed it was a dislocation at first. I did google the following though.

What is the Recovery Period for Compound Fractures of the Finger Bones Postsurgery?

The recovery period for Compound Fractures of the Finger Bones depends on the complexity of the injury and to what extent has the tissue and bones been damaged. If it is a minor fracture and the injury is mild then the patient may return to normal activities within a span of 6 to 8 weeks. If the finger bone fracture is complex and the injury is deep and complex then the recovery period may take three to four months before the patient can gradually return to full function of the fingers.

Amazingly when Harmes went to the bench the trainer seemed to be really pulling at the finger.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
