And less White-Pointers poking out.  They're mostly tanned, all year round.

The DZ's know them better as knockers, DV8

Dr Turf just said that the 4 way trade is done and it’s just some minor details to work out.

For real?

Freo demanded Pick#2 (2017) for Weller, what didid they expect we'd let Hogan go for? What a bunch biased armatures. Typical Fremantle, they just can't finish.

My first and only contribution to this ridiculous thread:

I want Hogan to stay, not interested in May.

If Freo are truly out, then I'm ecstatic.

Hopefully no bridges between player and club have been burnt in this debacle.

Maybe this might show Hogan that Freo really don’t want him cause if they did they would have come to the party or at least offered a FAIR trade.

It’s like seeing a house for a $1.00m and offer $500k and expecting a positive response.

Freo have shown just how pathetic and childish they are and clearly can not play with the big boys.

now is the time to cuddle up to young Jesse and sign him for four years at $800-900k

that's what a Hawthorn ... the family club... would do

Bottom four for Freo.

Fyfe going to be rapt to be kicking the Sherrin to that no-name hack forward line again.

What a joke of a club.

I think the bridges at Freo are all burned to the ground.

That's pretty key now.  Very strange outcome to a long period of speculation.

It ain't over...til it's over

Well we almost got the triple century a fine knock nonetheless.

And my 5 year old daughter will be stoked as Jesse is her favourite player

Did not expect that.

Amateur hour from Peter Bell.

They obviously think they’ll get him next year on the cheap.

If I were Jesse I would think that wraps up any thought of playing for Freo ever now. If they dont value him or want him then we all move on and they can stop bugging him every year. Imagine for a moment if Jesse is playing well next year and in the top 3 or 4 goalkickers...and  the dees are in the top four. Imagine how dispirited the players at Freo will feel about this and how stupid Bell will feel. Plus they have dicked around the trade period for a week...joke of a club.

Jesse to Freo is over for GOOD now. Jesse to WC might be in play next year more likely for players than picks or a mix. But lets see if we can Jesse back up and about after his foot injury and stamp his name as a dominant key forward.

Well, now that the Hogan trade is off the table, can we all get back to discussing biscuits?

have we discussed the relative benefits of Scotch fingers... excellent dunking if one is into that kind of thing

Guess this is what happens when you pluck a boundary line commentator for the WAFL off the streets to run your footy club. Peter Bell is an amateur and has set his club back a decade.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
