can they sell the farm though ?

Yep, trade out one of their better GF players and get a higher 1st round pick.  GCS looking for a top 5 pick because they thought we could get it.  If we can't they look at the next best offer for May.

Fremantle are Dead Set Criminals!

They think they can [censored] rape clubs for players whilst also copping blow jobs during the trade period.

FREO FU.K OFF!

Brisbane handed over Pick 2 for Weller.

Freo won’t accept Pick 5 for Neale.

Freo want to give Pick 11 and 28 for Hogan? What a joke...

Clubs need to stop dealing with these pricks!

Consider a different scenario, Neale decides he doesn't want to go to Brisbane if Beams isn't going to be there. There goes Pick 5 to the Dockers and dare I say their bargaining power for Hogan. All deals off and we have to promise next years draft to get May

What happens if GC are looking for a 55 plus goal kicking, Carey like bull to replace the one that walked out???

Truly interesting.

Brinkmanship at its best.

It is possible that Freo love Jessie and are just playing hardball as a negotiation stance. Most negotiators will stick by their ambit position for as long as possible. What they have put is only ridiculous if you think Hogan is a star. Unlike your stars of the game, he has not proved himself in a sustained way.

More likely is that Freo would like Jessie but like others in the footy world (including the Dees) have their doubts about his value and longevity.  Also Jessie may seem less than enthusiastic about joining Freo creating further doubts about the deal. Not good if you offering him mega bucks and he seems a little detached and not jumping for joy. They want him but are not prepared to sell the farm.

If I was Freo, I would not change my position.

See how he goes next season and if he does okay then come knocking.

The Dees are the loser because they end up with a player that is not switched on, maybe on the side lines with injury, and is not going to remain integral to their game plan in the future.

Unless, Jessie gets his act together, plays great footy, falls in love with the Dees and commits to a Demon future. Now that would be something!

I wonder if West Coast see an opportunity here. If they were to shop around a player or two in a package deal and nab a top ten pick, they could make a quick deal with Melbourne and snatch Jesse right out from under Fremantle. It's highly unlikely, but it would be absolutely hilarious if it happened.

SEN suggesting that 11 & a Future First might be the best Freo offer.

They can't. They've already traded their future 3rd rounder. Means they can't trade their future 1st Round Pick, only 2nd, 4th, 5th etc...

We have rejected the offer and are happy to keep him and deal with west coast next year.

Jay clark tweet. Sorry can’t copy the link atm

Which in a nut shell mfc's trading philosophy is to be fair, not play hardball or bend other clubs over (bingo) and get traded done The Kent deal being a good example.

After all it's not as if they get new clubs to trade with every year or this is the lady year of trading.

Unremarkably, Freo supporters reckon Bell and Rosich are geniuses.

After paying Dockerland a visit, I would like to extend my thanks to @Demonland for giving us a user friendly and visually attractive site to discuss our team on.

MELBOURNE have reportedly rejected Fremantle’s offer of pick No.11 and a future second-round selection for spearhead Jesse Hogan.

The deal is understood to be the Dockers’ first official offer to the Demons, who appear set on receiving a pick in the draft’s top 10 for the 23-year-old key forward.

Hogan toured the Dockers’ Cockburn facilities last week but has yet to publicly declare he wants to shift home to WA with a year still to run on his Demons contract.

However the two clubs are openly discussing a deal for him. The news of the Demons rejecting the offer was reported by multiple outlets on Thursday afternoon.

A report on The Herald Sun raised a move to West Coast next year as a possibility for Hogan should the Dockers fail to get a deal done before next Wednesday’s trade deadline.

Fremantle traded away their No.6 draft pick to Port Adelaide on Thursday morning, leaving pick No.11 as their first selection but arming them with two second-round picks to use in negotiations.

The club could possibly get back into the top-10 at this year’s draft if they agree to shift Lachie Neale to Brisbane in return for pick No.5.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
