Should be knighted for services to Australian Rules Football.

In fact I'll have a chat to Meaghan and Harry when they pop in for a tea this week....

As an aside I wonder why Jetta doesn't get booed by opposition supporters?

It takes all types, I suppose!  I just cheered myself hoarse at the time, and sat back and marvelled each time I've watched a replay!

Neville is made of 'hard stuff' for the 'hard stuff'.

Hard stuff is made of Neville Jetta.

Which in comparison is soft.

I am just about to rate Jetta higher than Matty Whelan who was one of the bets back pocket players I have seen at Melbourne. You could almost bet your house on Jetta.

ooohhh...that's great. I love(d) Wrecker... but I think on body of work...and perhaps his most recent game (annihilation of Dangerfield)...it's in Nev's favour. Though a broken leg somewhere, may just enhance his stature more.

I am sure some Cat fans would claim that he pulled Dunderfield's arm before taking the mark.

I must say I didn't look at Duckwood or Hawkins at the time but I am sure they would have felt hard done by for not getting the free.  And of course had the game been at Kardinia Park they probably would have.

If I keep the reigning All Australian and the widely acknowledged AFL No 1 small forward goalless in his most important game of the year, should I be pizzed off that I didn’t even make the AA squad.

The most amazing thing about Dangerfield's game against us was the sheer number of deliberate "frees" (either paid or not paid) he committed. Like Jetta in the vid, every single time Danger was beaten he slung his opponent to the ground. And yet he was hardly ever pinged.

Two of the cleanest hits in the past 2 weeks you are ever likely to see.

The fact he ironed out 2 important players for the other team made it more memorable.

@dl4e I would liken Lord Nev to George Gregan (especially the tackle on All black Jeff Wilson). And yes I have also been thinking about comparisons to Wrecker (who was also a good ball user if I remember correctly.)

The heart in both of these men is just enormous. I am in awe.

No .... that was tears.

Softened up by Viney in past encounters, and that was le coup de grace.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
