Don't Believe In Never

Our "Don't Believe In Never" video released. Gees it's spine tingling stuff... Just imagine.

Has each club done a vid like this or just us?

Its ok, but I’m not a fan of this, maybe if we had just win the prelim, sure. Haven’t even played the first final.

At least its the AFL getting ahead us these days, and not the club getting ahead if itself.

Looks like an AFL thing but I'm only guessing. Can't imagine the club would do this,  not dissimilar to emailing ticketing options before we made finals .

It is good stuff though!

I think if we win this week we are a huge chance for next week and a prelim.

I dont know if I could even watch us in a prelim or a granny. I'd puke

Yeah thought it would be, but I just cringe at it cos if we lose then I know I’ll see changed versions bagging us out.

Yeah the AFL has done one for each of the top 8.

I hear you. I’m so use to watching other teams in finals that it’s a weird feeling.

I always have a big grand final bbq at my house watching two other teams play. Hopefully I can’t have a bbq at my house this year ?

I actually got a little choked up just thinking about that.

I'll be a blubbering mess if we actually won.

I'm with you on this. I think I would cry tears of joy for a month.

Here's our 'Don't Believe In Never' video from the start of the season. Amazing to think we're a genuine contender despite Hogan, Lever and Hunt all missing from the young stars highlighted below!

I like the way we cracked a mention in the commentary “It will be a Grand Old Flag in Demonland” I’m sure they meant us.

And yet the 'Is Goodwin the right guy...' thread will still be open.

Don't believe in never Gorgoroth. All's I'm sayin'.

I really dislike glib slogans. Always goes back to 'Never stop never stopping" for me.

Fun little video though.

Only time will tell, but right now I'm a believer!

Pretty optimistic. Let’s just see how we go against Geelong. No one needs this pressure

Must admit, I’ve been relaxed all week....until this. 5 more sleeps to go.

Fun little video though.

Could also be more glib and change the slogan to 'Don't Believe In Lever', which is what we'll be doing if we think we can win a premiership with our current defence  Apologies for the pessimism! (I don't believe in never)

Loved it!

Today the nerves started kicking in thinking about Friday... not sure I could watch a grand final...

Oh man, yes please.

Great promo.

Mis-read the thread title as “Don’t believe in Nasher”

I came in here purely to see what you’d done to produce such a response... true story.

Good video though.

Carry on.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
