I was only just talking to my family.   They seem nice.

Get as much quality time with the wife and kids as possible- cos hopefully they won’t be seeing much of me for the month of September.

look at max gawn highlights on youtube

Well um actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we’re going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe bed, bath and beyond, I don’t know, I don’t know if we’ll have enough time.

Weekend away with my boyfriend for my birthday. So basically getting drunk and consuming my body weight in cheese.

First birthday in 12 years where I get to look forward to finals. Thank you Dees!

…Have absolutely no idea what to do with myself.

Might make my first post in the "No T$ No B$" thread since the Mitch Clark era.

Remain absolutely proud of the boys. I wanted the season to just end a few weeks ago, and was blown away with the sort of footy we have played over the fortnight.

Win or lose, I am absolutely ecstatic that we have finally made it to finals. It’s been a long 12 years but the light is there. I’m going to try and remain positive for whatever the result in a few weeks time.

Let’s go!!!!!!!

Be careful, that’s how Tyson fractured his wrist.

Go and abuse the geelong reserves at Casey.

Practice my anti-Selwood sledges. Most of them are about ducking, and the rest ryhme with it.

Follow the Casey v Geelong game.

Go to the local footy to see the mighty Burra (Eaglehawk) take on Kyneton in the BFL qualifying final.

Feel lost. I reckon the pre-finals bye is a great idea but  I HATE it now the Dees are involved.

Watch the final two rounds of this year over and over.

Seriously, two of the best games we've played back to back in my lifetime. I have to go back to 2000, off the top of my head, for anything better.

Blues/Crows earlier this year when we were smoking them by 100 points wasn't anywhere near as good.

The media are on us now, and for once I feel like they're entitled. You put that sort of effort up when it counts and people should talk about you.

watch the footage of Simon Godfrey sitting next to Neale Daniher, Daniel Ward and Brad Green on repeat.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

With their season all over bar the shouting the Demons head back on the road for the third week in a row as they return to Adelaide to take on the Crows. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
