BT doesn’t seem to mind broadcasting his ignorance, especially when it comes to Melbourne, but he may have outdone himself today.

Bartel spoke about Jones closing in on Neitz’s games record.

Conversation immediately turned to the club’s leading goalkicker, with BT asking “Melbourne have never had a league leading goalkicker have they?”

Yeah. Neitz. The guy you were taking about ten seconds ago. You [censored] numpty.

Right up there with the Triple M newsreading numpty who said "Melbourne still hadn't beaten a top 8 side, but that ended on the weekend when they defeated GWS...."

Flogs just have their default narrative and stick with it, regardless of facts

Then we must give you some credit! I wondered why he was tearing it up so much. Good job.

Next week, can you scream "Kick straight, Tracc!" a dozen times? Or even 6 would do.

Bahahaha - I would be honoured to play my part in a huge win over the Cats!

No weideman was in same draft as Oliver we traded pick 6,29 and future 1st for 3,10,43 we then traded 10,43,63 to GWS For 7 and bugg so we ended up with

What? Garlett has been stinking it up at Casey until this weekend. He was so bad last week that it was impossible to select him after he was dropped in the lead-up to the WCE game.

As for Bugg, I don't even consider him coming into the side. In fact, I would put money on him being delisted at the end of the season.

So, we've just finished the season in fifth place, despite significant injury lay-offs to important players. Where are all the 'the sky is falling' posters who were virtually threatening to rip up their memberships a few weeks ago..? ;)

My point just was that he's keep out Casey players week in week out. Until a couple of weeks ago, Kent was in that bucket too.

I reckon Spargo is doing what he needs to. I was surprised going back and watching the AFL.com highlights that he's involved in a hell of a lot of our goals.

Ans yes, where are they??? I certainly wasn't one of them.

As someone who had basically lost interest in the season just a few weeks ago, it's good to see you back and fired up, Jaded.

And I echo your sentiments - smashing those arrogant bastards in two weeks time would be so, so good!

Every finals team will fear playing Melbourne. We have some weapons, unpredictability, game breakers and match winners, we have hardness, multiple scoring options, momentum and nothing to lose.

Go Dees.

Not to mention a few loose cannons!!

What surprises me the most about the above is that you listen to triple M.

The AFL chose the MFC elimination final for Friday night football. They chose the brand that plays the most exciting football for their premier AFL audience.  Gee things have changed! Go Dees!

Anyone know how gate $ are split during finals? Is it split 50/50 between the competing clubs? Clubs get none of it and all goes to AFL?

Well last night my humble pie tasted very good of course it was helped by washing it down with a few single malts.

Yesterday the Weid showed his is more than an average VFL player. Good game Sam and may you have a few more before 2018 draws to a close.

And for Saty , Spargo earned his spot at the highest level. However his inability to kick much beyond 35 meters worries me.

I listen to Triple M just for the Dees games so I can listen to Paul Roos talk about us - he is always pumping our tyres but also gives good insight when things aren't working!  And, if I'm watching at home I mute the TV volume.  So much better than listening to the Ch 7 fanboys-of-the-opposing-team.

I don't listen to them LH however I might have to tune in as there is not a lot of rocket scientists on most of the other stations. If I hit BT I immediately turn off and yes Chanel 7 are vomit inducing. Silence is golden when watching 7.

Lewis smells finals and turns it up. He must be so incredibly bored by these meaningless Home and away matches. The man wants another medal and is playing like it.

Harmes is in some sort of form. Dusty don’t argues while destroying opposition midfielders. I hope he kills Dangerfield that little turd.

ANB did a great match winning job on Weitfield too.

Lewis surprised onfield - particularly in the first quarter with clearances, run and carry, expert delivery to forwards; he looked so natural in that rare role (for him, with the Dees) setting up the destruction of the GWS run and carry through midfield and outside space. A coach of the near future for the Dees, showing the way as best he could at this stage of his season. He set the tone without doubt. Keep it up, Jordan, it was terrific.

How many top 8 teams have we beaten now?

Would love to see someone with time and ability do a "Ladder vs Top 8" now.  Spoiler alert - Collingwood would be on the bottom hang only beaten us out of all the finalists.

Hahaha, par for the course!!!! Some of the stories about Oberon High, Geelong High and North Geelong high were insane.

I hate to say it but I had a few years at “Grammer” before the family couldn’t afford it and went to St Joeys. Then off to boarding school.

Played juniors and a little 3rds at South Barwon CC.

Not long enough obviously.

Just a note on VDB. Doesn't he put the fear of the lord into our forward half. What a team effort today, a calm, measured performance.

I said when Vandenberg came back that he was an important addition: there were scoffers. I bet they scoff no more...

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
