Not doubting you but I thought the reports said Greene could miss at little as 2 matches.

I missed the last bit of the interview but maybe it was was Davis who said he was ruled out for 3. Sorry didnt get it all, we'll know by end of the day I suppose mate.

Was watching the Davis interview on AFL Tonight and he clearly said 2-3 weeks.

Since then its been clarified he won't play until 1st week of finals.

Giants run home isn’t that easy either. Adelaide is playing ok at the moment and are a sneaky chance to beat them this week imo.

Could they miss if they lose all 3?

I’ve never watched AFL tonight, the interview I heard was on TripleM yesterday afternoon so what I heard was right if he’s not back until finals

On my god. Just did ladder prediction.

I had us beating swans - then losing to eagles and giants.

We would finish 9th!!!

potentially the last game v Giants may decide who finishes 4th or 9th  (winner gets 4th  loser gets 9th!!!!)

We have to win 2 of the last 3 games  If we do, we can finish 4th

That selection of Petty over Frost against the Saints and also not selecting Frost against Port is looking great now, isn't it?

Frost should have played 22 games for us this year. He's a criminally underrated footballer, and is particularly good for us given our weaknesses. Not because of his footballing skills mind you but because of his athleticism.

When he plays his role as a lockdown player, he's great for us and is exactly what we need with our high pressing backline. Should always be our last man back, as Garlett should always be our deepest forward.

I agree with this half way!

I thunk his athleticism is perfect for our game plan.  His ability to close a gap quickly and pressure a player when the ball is coming in fast is a perfect attribute for that position.

BUT his turnovers with back in hand, often in simple situations,  due to both skill errors and poor decision making leaves us very vulnerable to a counter attack because of the way we set up.

This is why we like player Hibberd, Salem, and Lewis down back, plus Jetta and OMac are reliable decision makers.

Interestingly early in the year we potted Lever's performance but his defensive game was fine it was his disposal that made him look bad.

Frosts other issue is that he doesn't track back to position well.  So once he gets involved in the attacking party,  he loses his place in the structure and struggles to get back in. That too is catastrophic to our game plan.

Hopefully he can improve those elements, because I'd love him to cement a place in the team.

Along with not moving him to Hawkins much earlier in the Geelong game.

For those who do not like looking more than a week ahead come back in 2 weeks.

Now we’re a better than 50% chance to play finals DL, is it too early to start an advance oppo watch thread on the Tiges for the grand final?

Sounds like they'll definitely get Kelly back, but I'd be happy for Davis and Griffen to play as they won't be 100% fit.

Very happy to play them with as many of their good players as possible.  No better way to tune up for finals than to test ourselves against one of the better sides in the competition.

If we can kock off West Coast and their turf we should be good enough to beat this mob including Kelly, Davis and whoever they want. We just need to focus on performing the same as last week and the rest will take care of itself.

Good to see they get some players back, they have been smashed with injury and you want to play the best to be the best.

Now that we have made the top 8 I can’t help but think our tough draw to finish the season will help us no end. Melbourne should be going into finals confident and battle hardened. Way better than Geelong finishing with Freo and the Suns

Jeez GWS have some depth, even with injuries. They still have Kelly, Shiel, Coniglio, Whitfield in amongst the rest. Himmelberg has been going OK and Lobb in the ruck has been pretty good. Won't be an easy game but think we'll run away with it. A good chance to look at who we can steal off them also, they won't be able to retain them all.

If we could pinch Shiel from them then Norf would be spewing! He would be great in our midfield and I reckon that he would love to play with Gawn, Viney, Oliver and Brayshaw.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
