The stakes shall be high.

In -         Melksham, Hunt

Out -      Smith (inj), JKH

Is Hibbo not available?

Watching Sydney last night they rebound through Alir Alir. Collingwood did not seem to make him accountable.

I wouldn't mind playing Tim Smith on him as a defensive forward.

We have to double team Buddy.... how that works in practice I am not sure. Maybe Dec K gets a call up.

Need to watch the game but from the radio Spargo was very quiet in that second half.

Wagner in for Smith. Hibberd still a week away atleast according to Goody.

Frost to Buddy.

VDB out for Melksham if fit.

Not according to Goodwin

In: Pederson

Out: Smith

Got a feeling Melksham misses another week.

good question

I believe he is in full training...

Sounds like he probably could have got up for the GC game but we let him rest for 1 more

Keilty maybe?

HB line: OMac . . . Frost . . . Pedo.

Not since Keenan, Jackson and Crosswell surely?

Typo

According to Goodwin no Viney or Hibberd and Melksham 50/50 for next week. Swans are not tall forward so Smith in allows us to decide the best defender rather than needing a third tall specifically. I would be pulling the trigger on Hunt. If Melksham needs another week leave it as one change.

Out Smith.

In Hunt.

spike to Hunt today and he is not ready. Hibberd will miss. Down to Pedo or Wagner.  This is not a match to introduce a 1st gamer in.

I think Bernie is on thin ice once players come back from injury.  He was way off the pace today.

Petty then.

Milkshake for Smith

Salem and Fritsch to play more HB

Out: Smith, JKH

In: Milkshakes if fit or Hunt if not, Kent

Goodwin says viney only back in 2018 for finals.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
