Pretty sure we are playing the Bulldogs this week.....

True jnr.  We shouldn't be looking too far ahead.  It was in response to another comment and snowballed from there.

I actually think on the narrower ground we are a chance to beat them.

We don't do well on expansive wings... Odd really ?

nah ... be like Hawks supporters and plan for your GF attendance and bbq.

Hard to think that 1964 was over 50 years ago. I'm sick of losing.

Well done JKH, you have earned another shot.

Dont like Vince and Lewis in the same team, however.

Bernie I can understand, JKH on the other hand. Has he ever taken that step from VFL to AFL?

Always seems so slow. Happy to be wrong, but he seems another too good for 2nds/not good enough for 1sts that we seem to have attracted over the years.

Vince imo should be playing a tagging role stop getting viney to do it, macrae comes to mind for vince

Sensible changes.  With Frost now in the side, Vince for J Smith is the right move, and while I'd normally not be a fan, I'm happy to see the club reward JKH for his good form in the magoos and I think he's the logical replacement for Stretch.  He can play that role better than the others at Casey, especially someone like Tyson.

They have lost Bont but regained Macrae which kind of cancels each out.  We should roll them without too many problems.

Lose this and we are stufft although the StKilda loss probably meant we were anyway. We will have to win well coz we are going to get a hammering down at Geelong.

We'll smash Geelong. Bookmark it.

Happy to have Vince back, not sure who he's replacing down back that's currently available. Wagner?

Also pleased to see them giving JKH a go. As above, Last Chance Hotel, but at least no-one will die not knowing.

Glad JKH is given a shot. Trains extremely hard and must know that this is he's last shot at it.

Grab it with both hands JKH!

At Casey where, for now, he belongs.  There is no need to blood him with 7 weeks left and finals on the line unless we absolutely have to.  I can understand the changes being underwhelming for some, but they make the most sense.

Just reward for JKH's effort and good form at Casey, as it was for Billy last week.  It's now up to Jay to replicate his VFL form at the next level.  It's his spot to lose for the rest of the year and beyond, and we'd all love to see him take it with both hands.

Great to see JKH in the team. I like his aggression, hope he becomes the pest that Bugg used to be. Can see him working welll alongside Garlett. Five goals between them.

Vince will be a known quantity bringing a bit of contol to our back play.

Will be going in a little smaller in the backline. Hope Oscar Mc and Frosty can neutralize or win the high ball

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
