Diamond_Jim 12,772 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 So who do we want to win tonight's game. My head says Collingwood by a fair margin ... never thought I'd say that !!! Quote
Rod Grinter Riot Squad 5,681 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I want Dogs to win, expect the filth to though. I am so sick of these moron commentators saying Buckley turned Howe into a defender... 1 1 Quote
Diamond_Jim 12,772 Posted May 25, 2018 Author Posted May 25, 2018 A Bulldogs loss takes them out of the race for the 8 almost. 1 Quote
monoccular 17,760 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Surely the lower placed team winning would always be to our advantage - then it is entirely up to us to keep winning In the first 5 minutes maggots have put themselves in the line of fire at least twice. Now they have been declared sacrosanct (most of the time anyway) they seem to think that players should avoid them without taking any personal responsibility Quote
Wiseblood 24,637 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 If you were playing a drinking game around how many times they mention De Goey and his 'form', you would already be legless. 1 1 Quote
brendan 3,458 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Dogs looking good, much better team with some talls up forward Quote

Dogs lose and they have to win 9 out of 13 to make the 8 .. very hard Basically you can take 8 teams out of the equation almost this weekend on that theory. And then there were 10 !!! Quote
Lord Travis 10,819 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Definitely better for us if the Dogs win. Pies are a legitimate contender for a spot in the 8, so we want them to lose. Dogs aren’t contenders and have horrible percentage, so even if they win they’ll be 30-40% behind the good teams. 2 Quote
BAMF 4,483 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 1. Umpires loving the doggies. 2. Commentary terrible. 3. McLean ducks and throws 4. Can't believe Mayne gets a game. Pretty much the exact game I had imagined Quote
Diamond_Jim 12,772 Posted May 25, 2018 Author Posted May 25, 2018 After this week we play these two teams in a row so would be interested to hear about tactics. Quote
Lord Travis 10,819 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Ed Richards for the Dogs looks a player. I was a fan before he was drafted due to his pace, but he’s showing goood footy smarts and toughness too down back. Looks a real likely type. Pies look to be taking control of this one now. They’re clogging the corridor better and Doggies are relying on mistakes to get their shots here. 2 Quote

hells bells 2,023 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Neither of these teams look great. The doggies are a shadow of the team that won the flag two years ago. They look unfit. Pies look the better side but surely we have them covered. Quote

monoccular 17,760 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 FMD Footscray played like dogs in the third quarter. How did they ever win a flag. PS and the fourth has started even worse for them. Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 (edited) With this win and a bloopy for Collingwood next week against Freo they’ll be 7-4 by QBH. Pretty nervy already bout that one. The dogs are just nothing on the team that won it in 2016. And honestly they wearn’t elite back then either, they had a great month. Edited May 25, 2018 by layzie Quote
DemonWheels 1,118 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Absolutely no flow or run to the Dogs game – they’re merely a shadow of their former selves. Look forward to meeting them in the next few weeks. 1 Quote
Wiseblood 24,637 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Dogs have kicked 3 goals since quarter time. They're poo. Quote
Jibroni 5,057 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 (edited) The only positive is if we win Sunday and both win next week its sets up a massive game on QB. Edited May 25, 2018 by Jibroni Quote
Diamond_Jim 12,772 Posted May 25, 2018 Author Posted May 25, 2018 Pies in that third quarter were rebounding so easily out of Dogs fifty. Shows the importance of forward defensive pressure. Pendlebury, Sidebottom and to a lesser extent Treloar and DeGoey are their main movers. Neither team has good forward structure. If we bring our game we should have these two teams comfortably. Quote

A bunch of soft frees and a couple of 50s in front of goal. At least they earnt the three since quarter time. Quote
Deestroy All 14,266 Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 Have you seen a more gutless effort? Scared to attack when you’re 15 points down against a mediocre Collingwood. Weak as. 1 Quote
