Great to see so many new players in the votes...  good sign that our 2nd tier players are finding form after a slow start to the season.

6    J.Harmes   -  capped off a very good few weeks with his career best game.

5    T.McDonald   -     they had no answer for him and he was superb early when everyone else was missing goals.

4     M.Gawn -   another dominant performance and may well be top 3 in the Brownlow currently and a big chance to won it.

3    C.Salem -  he was everywhere and even got in on some goal action. Tough as nails.

2    C.Oliver -  a typical Oliver game ie. very damn good, an architect from the middle

1    A.Brayshaw - was on from the start.  Would have contended for BOG if he kicked straighter (1.3) but nice to see him have 4 scoring shots.

Some days Melksham is a fantastic kick, sometimes it’s a bit off.

Came down from the rainforest to sell my vinyl at the West End Fair and that sat in the front row at the Gabba with the 53 other spectators. . I kid you not I counted them ..

A very different game on the fence then in the armchair and a suberb four quarter performance from the Dees. In the flesh let me say that ANB and Harmes will play every game this year bar injury not for their brilliance (unlike Clarry Gus and Chunk) but their ability to get from contest to contest and you don’t realise this on TV because your following the ball.

Best ...and you could do multiple versions..

6 Harmes

5 T Mac

4 Lewis

3. Gawn

2 Salem

only two lesser lights today who will be hoping Viney has a quiet one.. Petracca and Tyson... though you would expect they would survive on potential and that Spargo will be spelled.

6.  Clarry  - Even with a tag!

5.  Harmes  -  Best game (statistically) by an MFC player outside of Clarry's Rnd 2 vs Lions and last week vs Saints performances.  There is no chance he will be looked at for Viney against the Blues.

4.  Lewis  - Last week good, this week even better!  Repaying the faith.  Leadership was never an issue.  Performance now there.  Great win for the club.

3.  Hogan  - Bruce Banner eat your heart out!

2.  Salem  - A fabulous return.

1.  Fritsch  - Amazingly clean and starting to do the defensive things very well including intercepting!

It absolutely staggers me that TMac could not be in people’s top 6. Must have been the all time worst 5.1 game.

He was sensational in the first half, I gave my votes for 4 quarters of consistent footy. Admittedly, T. Mac's 4 first half goals were the difference.

Lever, T.Mac, Jetta could have won votes as well.

But don't you worry. Nasher, no-one on this site values the impact of T. Mac more than I do. He is the essential x factor in the Demon forward line. I'd love to now play Richmond, Hawthorn and Geelong with the T mac and the great Viney in the side...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
