6. O Mac

5. Max, although his tap out dominance did not mean anything.

4. Jones

3. Melksham

2. Clarry

1. Lever.

Note: Hogan's stats are good but 50 percent disposal efficiency doesn't cut it. Same as Tyson

6 - OMac - really playing much better this year and tracking really well.

5 - Gawn - he’s just bathing everyone he comes up against.

4 - Clarry - just head and shoulders.

3 - Melksham - give him a role and he’ll perform.

2 - Weid - ran himself into the ground and played a fantastic game for a young key forward.

1 - Jones - just gets it done.

6. Melksham. We continued bombing it in to no one which is Rance’s bread and butter. He kept him accountable and kept us in it with 4 goals.

5. Hogan. Again, shite delivery but still kicked a couple with 20+ touches and ten or so marks.

4. Gawn. Probably harsh not getting more but I just expect Max to dominate now week in. Heaps of taps but we didn’t seem to get a great run with clearances. Not sure if his problem or the mids not reading him but was still great.

3. O Mac. Couple very nice intercept grabs and nice passes. Really happy to see him playing well.

2. Clarry. Typical him kinda game.

1. Jones. Typical Jones kinda game. Should never have tagged last week, complete waste of a fun mid.

Unlucky to Lever who played his best game and although he wasn’t close to votes (imo) I was very happy with Weid having a dip.

6 - Hibberd - Hard, brilliant and his courageous attempt to mark going back into Riewoldt gets him across the line for me.

5- Hogan - Really loved his game tonight. Forget what the stats say, used the ball smartly tonight and he even kicked the ball a long way.

4 Melksham - Often played from the goalsquare in the role that Buggy and Fritsch have been doing (poorly). Often against the game's best in Rance. Four goals was a huge return.

3 Lever - Smooth all night and his kicking by and large was impressive.

2 Gawn - How do you not give him votes for us when he again smashes his man. But why can't our players rove him?

1 O.Mac - Huge second term - just don't look at the last term replay.

6.  O-Mac (amazing first half stone wall...overwhelmed like the rest of the defence in the last).

5. Clarry

4. Lever (more like what we were expecting....10 intercepts the most in the team)

3. Melk (where are our other goals going to come from from here I wonder!!?  What's happened to Jeffy!??)

2. Jones

1. Gawn (just a few too many dumb plays / decisions that would otherwise see him higher).

Apologies to Hibberd who was very good in patches throughout the match and fought the good fight.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
