3 Good Things v Brisbane

Featured Replies

Not to steal someone’s ip - but thought it was a cracker of a thread last week.

1. Hogan’s endurance and pressure

2. Hibberd was sublime

3. Somewhere somehow the momentum stopped - previously the other team would have got a goal or two in front. And then to jag 4 goals was a sign of something different.

1. Garlett proved me wrong and made amends from last week.

2. Oli was outstanding, he can win the brownlow this year.

3. The first half

1. The players got a good moisturising

2. Lewis had a great time sliding around at wet n wild

3.  We beat them by 1 point more than St Kilda did.

1. Clayton Oliver is a machine, best in tight hands in the game

2. Hogan and Garlett were matchwinners

3. We found a way to win when they had the momentum in the last

  1. The 20 metre handball from Oliver to Trac in the final quarter putting trac into space
  2. Then the brilliant kick from Trac over the top of the zoning defender to Hogan
  3. The brilliant kick by Tyson to ANB
  4. Apologies to the much better kicks to Hogan's advantage , with Pederson being a good example

I wish he and others would do this mpre often which means we require players  to not crowd around.

1. Lol at Ben Guthrie for not naming Oliver in the top 10 under 23.  Better than Bont!

2. Garlett- Hogan. Magnificent 9.

3. Fritch returning on the ground.

1. Oliver proving to me that he has the potential to be the best mid in the comp in the next few years. He is an absolute beast. They actually tried to tag him too. Freak. Best hands going around. Love him. Gingers 4eva!

2. Hogan back to beast mode. Really deserves some success, and seeing him up close on TV his attitude is much improved. When something doesn’t go his way he doesn’t sulk, or gets angry, he simply moves on. His second efforts were A+

3. Garlett. Hope you’re enjoying that can of Coke and bag of chips we gave you for him Carlton. Yes he is hot and cold, but stints in the middle really get him involved in games. He was superb and basically won us the game.

Away jumpers so much better than the white things of the past.

Lever so far, big disappointment.

We only disagree on item three. I did not mind last year's white jumper. Royal blue reminds me of the horrible 70's.

1. Clayton Oliver lookslike he will be elite. He has the best hands in the AFL and looks like to be the best player in his draft year.

2. Gawns work when the ball is at ground level. He is a threat all over the ground, not to be underestimated. This makes us that much harder to play against when you have a 200cm guy who is willing to get down and dirty when the ball is there to be won.

3. Forwrds kicking bags. Jeffy and Hoges getting it done. Take the pressure of the midfield having to kick a winning score.

Last year we’d have lost that game, when they were coming at us in the last.

Clayton Oliver should be in the leadership group, when we needed to get going he stood up and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck.

Jack Viney to come back in

Tom McDonald to come back in

Lever couldn't play worse if he tried

We could add 3 AA quality players soon

Loved the first half

Stopped their momentum

Kicked them when they needed to be kicked.:blink:

Is Lever being played in his best rôle?  I suspect that they as thinking of Hibberd as a second tall and Lever in his accustomed rôle of third .... failing to get the best out of Lever.

Hopefully especially with Ugly Ben next week Frost will get a run leaving Jake to do what he does best (GF excepted).

1. Jesse looks like he is enjoying his footy again. Makes my heart melt.

2. Our ability to go coast to coast and make them pay for turnovers that we forced.

3. Gawn v Martin. Gawn early, Martin fought back. Great contest.

1. The clash strip is outstanding.

2. ANB remembering where he was at the end of last season and one of the comps best half forwards.

3. OMac looking like he’s ready to move into the upper echelon of full backs.

1. Oliver going from strength to strength becoming an elite player of the comp (Parish who?)

2. Hogan has had a great start to the season and may it continue

3. Garlett back to his best after a quiet game against the Cats
