Jake will no doubt be overwhelmed by the attention his debut appearance in Dees colours generated.

What happened to our track watchers? This thread is all heading, zero content.

The reports usually come at the end of the day.

I was going to go today but I'm interstate.

We are all on the edge of the seat. No reports, yet? Mac Jnr and Weeds worry us, whereas Lever will be terrific.

Remember when Harry asked if he could sew his number 8 on sideways so that it became the 'infinity' symbol?

Unfortunately it may be true, I can see Ach (H) asking for it.

I'm on the edge of a river. Weed has got to get the mean family smile yet, when he's running out.

"I think I'm the type of person who doesn't mind having a laugh on the field."

I'm glad to hear it. Though many here put the boot into a certain ex-player if he dared to smile, I think it is a good attitude - gives you additional leverage..

Hogan looks ready to go:  Fit and fierce!

Rest of today's training pics here: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2017-11-20/photo-gallery-monday-november-20

Also, good to hear @DeeSpencerreport above on a slim Kent.  He has to fight for a spot but is giving himself a decent chance.

Pics on the club site. Looks like Hogan has slimmed down a bit. Hard to tell from a couple of images.

Warm up in line groups with some funky stuff like the forwards using the frisbees.

Then in to some craft drills for each of the groups.

In to a bigger point to point kicking drill that finished with a forward turning quickly from the mark and kicking to a deep one on one at the hot spot. Might we see a return to a full forward??

Some torpedo kick to kick. They often do something interesting, I assume it's mainly to keep the training fun and fresh.

Then in to some 8 on 8 (approx) ball movement on about a 2/3rds ground size with mostly token pressure from the defending team. That was done pretty well considering they'd been at it for a while and it's early days.

Left before the running started.

Wasn't really a session for anything to stand out. I'd say everyone in the rehab group looked in good condition and they did quite a bit of footy work as well as controlled movement stuff. And the main group had decent numbers across each line of the field and everyone there seemed to be training well.

The AFL website making a massive song and dance about Watts returning to training a whopping one week earlier than required...as if half the league isn't already rerturning early to pre season.

I think it's getting to the point soon where a player will be seen as lazy if they simply return by the required date.

The absence of an early returning Dean Kent last week sparked a few comments along this line

I think that the lighting in that photo makes him look thinner. Once the levels in the photo have been adjusted it tells a different story. He does seem a little thinner but perhaps he is fitter.

Anyone give us the latest on guernseys numbers... it’s a highlight for me at this time of year. I was looking last night... reckon Joel smith takes his dads old number at 35.. BK old number.

Surely, no one goes near 31, 9 and 4?

Joel Smith's dad, Shaun, wore number 29 which is currently being written by Jayden Hunt.

Word is Lever is 8, Maynard is 20 and Balic is 27.

No word yet on any other changes.

I thought JKH was looking very sharp today, as was Jeffie.

He was moving well and is a nice mover but I thought he rushed or overkicked too many of his kicks. He's such a beautiful kick at times but isn't consistent enough when it has to be his strong suit. I'd like to see him right up the front of the running and that hasn't happened yet either - didn't see todays running though.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
