Insanely good footballer.

How is it that the media not talked up his game from the weekend after completely towelling up Darcy Moore?

Fritta may have been asked to help counter the abscence of Clarry & Spargo (mostly Spargo) with kicks / connections inside also?

The Goody works in mysterious ways 😉

I was very impressed how he competed for the most part of the game against 203 cm Darcy Moore.

He made himself look taller and stronger, like a 2nd tall not just our superstar medium tall.

👌🏻

The 2nd quarter mark he took, playing in front of the much taller Moore, the way he refused to give up front position, was excellent and deserved great praise. Moore was bamboozled.

Changed quarter from 3rd to 2nd. Bad memory, checked the replay.

Speaking of pets, Jaded - you’ll be pleased to know Fritta is a dog-guy. He has five of them. His three and Nat’s two. One of Nat’s dogs wants to kill one of Bayley’s and therefore the two of them need to be separated 24/7, the dogs that is, not Bayley and Nat. 😂 This is super difficult and has catastrophic results if not adhered to (as has happened twice) but they make it work since it’d be like telling parents to choose to offload one kid. Amirite! 😁

Makes sense now! We knew Bayley has a dog brush.

It is just plain fun to think that we have the best 'true' medium forward in the game.

I think that Breust bloke goes alright, and Gunston...

I remember hearing about his love of dogs.

Can you find out when Clarry is getting a Cavoodle so I can organize a play date with Bear? 😂

Yesterdays Heroes..they were both greats.  Fritsch is the best right now.

I don't see that at all.

Most oppos and commentators rate him highly.

The fact the Pies had Moore on him for a while yesterday a fair indication of how highly he's rated i would think.

Some of his defensive work has gone up a little this season as well if i'm not mistaken.

In the statistical player ratings i put up, he was up 20% on his 2022 season rating up to and including the match against the Blues.

The only area he's a bit off in (so far) is accuracy at goals vs the last few years.

Running @ 52% vs 2022 (62%) & 2021 (63%).

if he can get back to 21/22 accuracy he could potentially kick 60 plus!

thanks for the stat, my eyes are not going yet

This can’t be true as I’m positive Maynard dropped out after year 8. I get the impression he’s asking as thick as two bricks.

I’m really not a fan of him playing so high up the ground. It really makes us look impotent when the ball goes quickly into the 50. This guy is our best natural forward and had a stellar start playing deep this year. I’m not sure if it’s because of Petracca’s injury but we need him deeper next year.

How he kicks 40 plus goals in that forward line with our woeful ball movement and kicking skills is beyond me.

He would kick 70 in a team that had a clue how to play football.

Not sure what's happened , but his back half of the season has been very poor - he's looked very low on confidence, disinterested in anything physical and just completely lacking verve and desire.

I have zero Intel, but strongly suspect something happened in his personal life that's thrown him for six. Partner, family, dog - reckon something's happened.

Hasn't looked himself for 3 months

Bailey Fritsch is an elite finisher around goal - but unfortunately that is all.

Don’t be fooled by the aesthetics of his kicking style, because his field kicking & decision making is rubbish for a guy so talented.

Doesn't chase or tackle with intent. No team first mentality & would rather do the miraculous highlight instead of what’s best for the team.

Becoming increasingly frustrated with this bloke & it’s only because we all know what he could be if he improved on the above.

As above.  Let's hope that he has been carrying some sort of physical injury.

Need him 100% fit, and interested for the full 2025

RedLegs23  - yes, he is frustrating.  He can be amazing and could be amazing again if somehow there was better forward delivery and spread.

I agree with the sentiment that he's looked disinterested at times during the last couple of months. Saying that, I can't say our slow ball movement and abysmal forward 50 entries have helped Fritsch much in the second half of the season. Looked on track for another 50+ goal season at around round 10-11.

Officially a five-time leading goalkicker of MFC. Equals Fred Fanning and is now only behind Neitz (seven-time leading goalkicker).

Spot on. Welcome aboard.

It’s time to sell him off whilst he still has some value

Agree with all and needs to be traded out, insipid efforts far too often!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
