I am worried after all Eric Cantona got weeks for his interaction with a Crystal Palace fan some time back! Just saying.

He is a kid.  This loser supporter said something (probably offensive) causing a reaction.  Oliver SHOULD have walked away, but I have no problem with him giving it back.  That piece of [censored] supporter wouldn't last 2 seconds if there was no fence between them.

I hope they report what was said, on both sides.  I can see him in the HS now 'I am deeply upset by being threatened by Oliver'.  The [censored] started it.  Lets see what brave thing he said from behind the fence.

Who knows what was said to Oliver but what was said only occurred once Clarry turns his back and heads to take the game on again - anyone that has a pot shot at a player because they have the protection of being a supporter and sitting on the other side of the fence is just plain cowardly.

His reaction of surprise says it all - he shouldn't have said anything in the first place.

Not sure a group of Carlton supporters are the most credible witnesses. Amazing how a bloke who mouthed off at a 19 year old is becoming the victim?

Perhaps Admin should put a date on the thread "Clayton Oliver Incident" I feel like this is going to be a common occurrence

I hope we get on the offensive and shape the conversation:

"we're disappointed the patron was allowed to remain despite threatening an afl player"

You see these fat numb-nuts all the time. Position themselves front and centre so that they feel that they are part of the action. Unfortunately for him, the only action he'll see is a blow up doll draped in a Blues Guernsey... number 25 on the back.

Couldnt agree more. Hope they back him up this time.  Fans leaning over the fence like that need to pull there head in. Oliver should have walked away but  fair dinkum, taking it to the media...weak as [censored]. God I hate Carlton.

Watch the press blame Oliver and the Melb footy club for this.....

Yep. Not all but a number like to feel sorry and patronise us when we are losing. They sure don't like it now we are winning and unwilling to take a backward step these days!!

There is no excuse for someone yelling abuse like the Carlton supporter did, but he will need to get used to some form of abuse from the opposition due to the way he plays.

Carlton supporters on twitter claiming Oliver threatened to kill him and want police involved.

The media totally ignoring the fact that the reaction was clearly provoked. And I thought he touched Oliver as well

No matter what was said young Clayton is becoming a target and now all fans will be on the attack.

We were a target for the Blues on the ground today and will be under the pump the rest of the season. Looking forward to getting Jones, Watts and Viney back to give us some more grunt.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
