Round 12: Non-MFC games

The last spot or two in the eight will come down to percentage.  We have done so well to keep all our losses close this season.

The Saints might be having a game tonight that they can ill afford % wise.. nevermind the loss itself.

Edit - the game is still early days so anything can happen, but Crows do look ominous

Thank goodness I've worked out how my mute button works. So sick of 7's common taters. No wonder they have to pay the AFL so much for the TV rights. I'd demand that much too if I knew that my sport was going to be covered by commentary teams who are going to turn people off my sport in droves!

Yes Carlisle doesn't do much for the saints even if you ignore all the hype around him when they signed him up. Defeated on several occasions even though he's only playing on Crows 4th or 5th forward (Jenkins)

Really? Clearly we look at football differently than.

Yep: you look at one individual matchup in isolation, and I look at the big picture. :P

No, I do see your point, but I think it's just a moot one if your team is getting thrashed.  We tagged him well too, but we also did a lot of other things well that night too, our pressure on the ball in general (through the middle and forward) meant their ball use was under pressure, rushed and in general, poor.  Their forwards had to push back a lot to help out, which meant when they did get it, their forays forward were disorganised.

I'd hardly be losing sleep over Sloane's tag if I were the Crows.  Footy is a team game, St Kilda's system as a team tonight sucks.  Given that they're being annihilated in every other aspect of the game, St Kilda ought to be questioning whether tagging one singular player is the best use of their midfield resources.

Just read this on St Kilda big footy

The way McCartin is going I would take Jack Watts every day of the week. My gut feel is in underage footy he was just bigger than everyone else which is why he looked so good. Now against adults he has no tricks and no footy smarts. Whoever chose him instead of Pettraca should be shot.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
