Let's just see for how long. I am an optimist. I have stayed tuned since the Hassa Mann days, been to games where Matthews slew Smith, watched and observed with great fervor. Yes, I am a Demon Tragic. And, anyway, our daughter doesn't care about my observations any more, she has a boyfriend. Unfortunately he follows the saints. Should I shoot him?

I rarely carry cash unless I'm doing err...  "business" at establishments like the GAT.

Speaking of cash... there are twelve $100 notes in Oz per person and only six $20 notes. Apparently the vast majority of $100 bills are used to support the 'cash economy'. But the $50 note is the choice of hardened criminals. Biffen, on the other hand, peddles in bitcoins to keep the Gat afloat.

The moral to the storey is you probably won't be audited by the ATO dieter.

If you had cash and you live in Thornbury and you like Christians you're obviously related to the Salems and drive a Mercedes and I know that your fellow countrymen are cash dealers. I deliberately spelt c not hash.Okay.  I'm glad you had cash and had a good day, I had to go home and get nagged to death by my wife.

ok for a start  whats wrong with christians ?you must be a lazy   s,o b could not even walk over the road to an atm   wow  so then you drive home to get a nagging from her indoors   a short walk might have been worth it  what a mug

Me too bb.

we are a stubborn lot!

I would hate to see the membership numbers at Sydney if they had endured our run of the last decade.

I wish people would get over the Casey ground. It is your typical outer surburban ground that is capable of a few thousand at best.

Do people expect the MCG in Cranbourne?

it is our seconds ground that will see the seniors once a year in a practise match.

The MFC is on the way up from almost extinction four years ago.

In another decade after sustained success there may be money for ground development.

Until then enjoy a more successful side and forget about the small problems

As long as the Christians are playing for us and getting a kick, got no problem with them.

Besides, I was getting withdrawal symptoms, I was starting to shake, my ears were empty, I had a compulsion to return to the marital abode to get my daily medicine.

Just bring wheelbarrows full of cash to family function/double headers.

If Casey was smart, they'd do a deal with Bunnings and make a fortune hiring out the barrows for the day.

I always pay cash at VFL grounds because I assume they won't take cards.

I don't recall seeing credit card facilities at any grounds I've visited, Coburg, Port, Sandy, Werribee, Essendon.

i understand you're frustration but it was pretty dumb going without enough cash to get in. Obviously not a Boy Scout of old.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
