The one we traded to port power

The player formerly known as Prince.

Has he gone yet

The jury is still out on that one.

Sadly the news is the same as yesterday bb.

and the moral is........never ever trade with the filth

In my living memory we have had two players that have been worth it.

Peter Moore and Henry Coles. Hardly a lot for 57 years.

I wonder if Collingwood supporters feel the same way? Who have they got from us? Shane Woewodin, Simon Buckley, Jeremy Howe and now Lynden Dunn. Who else?

Glen McLean.

Cost them a fortune, which was allowable in those days, paid to us and he played about 4 games.

Cost Ranald McDonald the Presidency.

Howe was one of their best last year. They got value. We didn't.

That trade never sat well with me. Seems we lost Howe and Toumpas, and Gained Kennedy. That's a loss.

Isn't this more accurately the Prince formerly known as a player BB?

And a 2nd round pick. It was in effect Toumpas for Kennedy straight swap. Howe for a 2nd rounder, which was then part of the Gold Coast deal to bring in the 2 first rounders and we dropped back to the 3rd round for it.

We missed Howe's good games last year but not his bad and it took him getting traded to realise he's not a forward. Now we used a similar 2nd round pick this year that we got from Howe last year to bring in Hibberd who will play the same role as Howe and if Hibberd gets fit and in peak form he'll play it better.

I blame Picket Fence for pumping up Clarrys tyres.

Never give a redhead praise or credit.

Look at that imbecile Lingy.

Also-I've blown a lot higher than that and did my sentence.

My parents generation would drink drive, smoking a cig ,with kids in the car,no seat belts etc.

Anyone who cares to put themselves forward as a magistrate and suggest tougher sentences for dui is at best an unrealistic prude and at worst a wowser.

It should be .08 for adults as it is in the "outside" world.

Victoria is o heavily policed in the wrong areas already.

You've got my vote

Australians and their first world issues

What a whining sanctimonious supercilious bunch we Australians have become.

Lamumba was one of their best the year before. Not hard at that rabble, they're going backwards.

So it helped us get Weideman & Oliver 'Dee'?

If that's the case then we got a win from that I would think.

I'm still holding out hope he returns to the club.

At his best he's a very good running defender and we can never have enough depth in certain positions.

Three of his 5 games (North, Collingwood and Richmond) in 2016 where actually his best for the club and it's a shame his concussion halted his momentum.

On a side note, I hope the passing of Muhammad Ali is still not affecting him too much.

As DS noted we also got 2nd rounder (29) and 50 as well but I get the impression Howe wanted stupid money and was going regardless. H must have been the best deal we could get done and Toumpas was just steak knives. Unfortunately the damage was done when we selected Toumpas at 4, what a shocking piece of drafting that was, although only Wines and Stringer look like better first round selections below ours that year.

Seriously??

Do you think after all his self indulging precious carry on that he would be welcomed or trusted by any of the playing group?  By the fans at large?

He has burned his bridges as far as I am concerned.

If I knew how to set up one of those polls I would.....my prediction is that he would be as welcome as a bacon and egg roll at a Barmitzva.

MacRae says hi.

Actually, so do all the rest of the first round selections after Jimmy.

Macrae sure but you think we should be shattered that we didn't get Vlastuin, Mayes, Thurlow, Corr, Garner? We already ended up with Kennedy which no one seems all that Happy about.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
